What is this?

I was cleaning my windshield today and noticed this. It kind of looks like a camera. It is near the tip of the drivers wiper blade. Attached are pics of the loaction and a close up of the object in question.

To my old eyes it looks like a painted washer with paint peeling off that somehow ended up on the dash. If so the question becomes where is one missing from your truck. I don't have my truck yet so this is obviously an uneducated observation.

I think I saw another thread on this and it was a manufacturing mark so they know we’re the wipers sit in the “off” or “resting” position.

Yep. It is where the wiper is supposed to sit. Roughly plus or minus a bit.
