What is the slot for?

Good morning y’all…can anyone tell me what the slot is for that is to the rear of the 3 buttons in the center console to the back of the area that the shift knob is in? I looked in the book, and found no answer

Have you tried doing a search of the forums? Whenever I do before starting a thread, it comes back with pretty much everything BUT what I want to ask about. And inevitably, someone pops up and says, “someone asked this question before, back in 2021 about the first maverick, do a search before posting”

Pay no heed to those who spend their time criticizing your question when they could have just as well answered it in fewer keystrokes. As you have probably discovered, most use it for parking area tickets, but I also use it to place my Costco credit card when I'm in line for gas. No fumbling in one's wallet or purse.

Pretty sure it’s to hold credit cards. Be aware it’s kinda deep tho.
