I bought mine at Costco and they were Weathertech that could be trimmed to size. Didn't have to trim them. Thick and strong. That's another possibility.

Mine is flush. I don't know if it can be fixed. Most likely this is happening because they are assembling the Mavericks too quickly due to the high demand. When you have so many orders to fill, most likely some irregularities will be overlooked by those in charge.
