Don't forget allocations. If the dealer doesn't have allocations, no truck.

That happened to me with my first order on October 12 2021. Some dealers won't tell you if they do or don't have allocations.

Also my first dealer was sold on the first day of the October order bank opening.

I found another dealer fast that day that gave me all the right answers when I asked.

My 23 Maverick hybrid is on the assembly line right now.
That's how my dealer is. Absolutely refuses to answer what their allocation is and how many total orders they have. I told them to call me the minute the order banks opened up (hadn't found this forum yet). He called me the 16th about 1:00 and said they were open. I was literally three blocks away leaving another store so I was there in three minutes. While I was ordering I thought I heard him slip up and say they already had 120 orders before me but wouldn't say that again. He may have just been doing the typical salesman BS of overstating things to make you feel like you need to order quick. Who knows.

We ordered 2 hybrids on the first day of orders in September. Other than a email from Ford acknowledging the order, not a peep from Ford. Dealer has no idea, and in fact says it may never be built in spite of being a first day order. This is getting to be worse than 2022 production.
- You should have received at least one possibly two emails from Ford on a 45-day schedule acknowledging that your order is still in the system. If you have not, call Ford direct right away

- Your dealer should know; they can sit down at their desk and bring up every order they have in the system and tell you the status. My dealer has done that for me twice.

- The order system will give you the status of the order you placed, and you should check it. It should say something like "confirmed - clean". If it says anything else there is a problem that your dealer needs to fix

- The system will give you the status but unless it has been scheduled there is no time frame for being built

- You should also ask what your priority code is. 10 is the best your dealer can give you, 19 is the worst and 99 means your order is on hold. Below 10 means Ford is looking at it and its out of the dealer's hands.

- You should ask your dealer how many allocations they have and that combined with your priority code will tell you when / if your order will get looked at by Ford.

- Once your order is looked at then what options you have selected come into play. If you have things selected that Ford doesn't currently have the parts for then you get passed over.

- As others have stated above it appears Ford has taken more orders for hybrids than they can build. Personally, I am not sure of that, but I am an optimist. It seems to me Ford was watching the orders come in and they shut it off much earlier than they at first said. That says to me that they shut it off when they wanted to and that all / most orders will get built. But that's just my opinion and a decidedly minor one. I guess we will see next fall.

I wonder what the base MY24 will cost? As used car prices come down I may be forced to buy a used 4runner.

Thanks
I will call tomorrow
My 22 is the best vehicle I have ever had. That is why we ordered two 23’s. My son gets my 22 and my wife and I get the 23’s. The only previous car we keep is the 16 Mustang ragtop
All that is based on getting the 23’s.

I don't know if this answers your question, but I ordered a 22MY October 9, 2021. Still waiting . . . However, I do have a new production week . . . January 02, 2023. However . . . I have had prior production dates cancelled and moved back starting September 2022 - December 2022. The question now is . . . will my January 02 production week be pushed back like what has happened numerous times in 2022? Need a crystal ball for best answer. Patience is the name of the game.
I am in the exact same boat except my order was from 10/18/21

I think it's because I followed Tim's recommendation. I wouldn't put the order in unless it was priority 10.

What's everyone else's priority number?

and I’m a cancelled hybrid with VIN that will be at least a month behind you, making it 16 months from original order to delivery, assuming this one doesn’t get pushed back 14 times again. If it does, then F Ford for good. Count your blessings.

Agreed. There are many members here who ordered 9/15 - 9/21 who are scheduled, even with constrained items who were not rollovers.

I don't get it, other than how the dealers may have entered the orders. I think rollovers should have been priority 10 from every dealer and Ford should have been able to see and confirm that, new orders like mine should have been priority 11 or higher.

No dealer should have been able to take a 23 order until all non-built 22's were verified with the ordering party. That's not a whole lot of work and would have prevented loyal customer from feeling shit on.

I don't know if you have been reading threads the last 3 months, or 9 months, but ford can't get parts for everything people ordered.

Their alternative to not building new orders they have parts for,, would be not build mavs.

That doesn't work out good for anybody.

Which is exactly why I was on the hunt for a hybrid Lariat with the Lux pkg and CP360, and I found one that had both of those, plus a moonroof and rear sliding window in Hot Pepper Red. Also came with factory SIBL too. I traded in the XLT hybrid Maverick with lux pkg that I bought from the dealer I ordered from. It had just rolled off the truck, but the person that ordered it, ended up buying a Ranger.

I originally ordered a hybrid XLT with the Lux pkg and CP360. Got notification email from Ford on 22 Aug that it was going into production, then seven date changes, then a call from my dealer last week that told me it had been canceled for a ‘22, and Ford was offering me a $2750 incentive if I wanted to turn it into a ‘23. I asked if I could make changes, and I was told a flat out “no changes”. I had already made up my mind that I wasn’t going to take delivery as the dealer had already dropped the Lux pkg and CP360, and I didn’t want just a “plain Jane” truck.

I ordered a ‘23 hybrid Lariat with the Lux pkg, both CP’s, and the BAP on 15 Sept, but was told by the sales manager I had a 0% chance of having it built due to he didn’t have enough allocations for it, plus of all of the constraints. Once I was told that, the hunt began for a customer canceled hybrid Lariat.

I love my hybrid Lariat with everything it has!!

I don't think priorityreally means much. I had two orders in, one for me one for my father. Two different dealerships placed at the same time though. His order was priority ten, mine was nineteen. Mine was scheduled for production two weeks after placing the order in January, his just got built. From what I understand anything ten to nineteen is good.
