I'm planning on installing a Truxport cover on my 2024 Maverick. Does anybody have an issue of water collecting between the cab window and the bulkhead cover assembly? Where does the water drain to?

I ordered mine with the hard trifold. They installed two drain hoses. One on each side of the bed. They go inside the bed and through the bed liner. Hard rain and car washes result in a few drops in the bed. But I don’t expect it to be water tight.

Water off my rear window typically seeps past my tonneau seal and drips onto the corners of my bedliner. Probably not the answer you were hoping for.
Thanks for answering. Figured it have to go somewhere but kind of expected that might be the case.

Once the hoses go behind the bed liner, where to they go from there? If the water just exits between the bedliner and truck bed where does it go from there?
Just got my Mav so don't have much experience with the weather yet. Been kind of a mystery to me how the water is supposed to drain past the drop in bed liner.

I bought this truck so I could get to work during snowstorms, drive through mud to my favourite fishing spots and haul home lumber, topsoil, landscaping brick, appliances, 4’X8’ sheets, etc.

When the box gets dirty (and it does) I clean it with soap and 3,500psi from a pressure washer. Why would I worry about rain drops dripping past my tonneau?

Don’t worry about a few drops of rain on your bedliner.

Remember, IT’S A TRUCK!

I have a soft tri-fold tonneau cover on mine and I haven't had any issues with water collecting between the rear window and the cover frame. I do check it after it rains and have yet to find any significant amount of water just sitting in that area, just a few beads of it.

My cover is water tight, I have yet to have any water intrusion into the bed area even during some real heavy rainstorms.

Typically water just drains off the sides of the bed if it's a lot of water.

I think rain and water from washing the truck just "flows" under the plastic bed rail cover, since it's just clipped in place, and finds it's way to the ground via the open space between inner and outer bed sheet metal.

Behind the bedliner there are grommets in the side walls, my drain hoses go thru the grommets, and drain between the walls to the ground.

I filled the area with some foam rubber the same height as my trifold hard cover. Haven’t had any issues so far. You should also seal the seam where the plastic caps overlap.

I had the same leakage problem with my 2020 Ford Ranger. I tightened the front cover clamps as tight as I could get them and the problem went away.

I found some Kobalt dry storage boxes with wheels on one end, the fit great between the cab and the last slot in the side of the bed, my Truxedo roll up leaked but not bad, the ARE cap leaks but not to bad, it's almost impossible to keep water out of the bed.

I agree without the bed being separate from the cab you're chasing a pipe dream of a watertight tonneau cover seal.

Yes, awaiting support ticket for Gator soft rollup. Considering installing a solid rubber strip. Tried using weather stripping which did not work.
