  1. Yet Another Photo of a Maverick Next to an Old Ranger 😆

The wife and I have thought about buying a second vehicle with a manual transmission, as we both enjoy driving them and have had quite a few MT vehicles in our earlier years. But not to many models even offer them anymore, plus if we decided to sell it at a future date it would really limit the...
  2. Why Topping Off won't kill your truck

The system diagram is certainly helpful information but it doesn't show the actual physical dimensions/locations relative to each component. The fill neck (1) and the top of the fuel vapor return line (5) is certainly the highest point in the whole system. In the extreme, if you filled gas to...
  3. Tonneau Cover clamp torque

Yeah I'll probably recheck a few miles down the road just to make sure, but wonder how many people even actually tighten via torque wrench. (Want to avoid the "Just one turn more...." syndrome!) Thanks everyone for the feedback. New to the forum, but have gained a lot of valuable info already.
  4. Tonneau Cover clamp torque

Thanks for replying. Kind thinking of rechecking in a couple of weeks like you suggested. I know 7 ft lbs isn't a lot of torque but is taking a lot of compressing the foam to get there! Maybe it will reach the torque easier/quicker after the foam has had a chance to take a set.
  5. Tonneau Cover clamp torque

Just installed the Ford/Truxedo soft roll up cover. The install went well and pleased with the fit. In the instructions it says to torque the clamps to 7 ft. Lbs. I tightened the clamps pretty tight and have compressed the gaskets quite a bit (can see it squeezing out from under the rails). The...
  6. Water drainage between back window and tonneau cover.

Thanks for the tip. Just looking things over, thought this gap would need to be addressed as you pointed out along with Bruce W and Glen B. Figured may have to do some extra leak mitigation, but as long as I don't get major water intrusion I will be happy. Kind of expect maybe getting small...
  7. Water drainage between back window and tonneau cover.

Thanks for the replies! Most appreciated. A picture certainly is worth 1,000 words.
  8. Water drainage between back window and tonneau cover.

Thanks for answering. Figured it have to go somewhere but kind of expected that might be the case. Once the hoses go behind the bed liner, where to they go from there? If the water just exits between the bedliner and truck bed where does it go from there? Just got my Mav so don't have much...
  9. Water drainage between back window and tonneau cover.

I'm planning on installing a Truxport cover on my 2024 Maverick. Does anybody have an issue of water collecting between the cab window and the bulkhead cover assembly? Where does the water drain to?
