I haven't transferred my subs over yet, but I'll update when I do. The 10s I'm using have been in my Acura RSX for probably 10 years in a similar volume enclosure...hopefully they sound just as good in the Mav

Any Update? I planned on getting the boxes for 2 10s, but I was hoping to hear more from you. In particular I'm curious if the boxes rattle around during loud music, how they sound with the seat down, does the seat rattle when it is down and covering the subs, etc. BestBuy had the AudioControl LC-1.800 mono amp on sale so I snagged one. I shouldn't be short on power! Curious which model of Pioneer sub you're using. I'd normally go with JL Audio, but Crutchfield has some 10" Pioneers built for small boxes that have good reviews and they're about half the price.

haha, that's a serious amp! it's enough for a pair of Kicker CompRT 10", they can work with the limited volume in the groundshaker box, and you would use a pair of dual 2 ohm model, series the coils, and then parallel the two subs for a 800w 2 ohm load. if you really wanted to spend more for a JL my concern would be that the 10w1 and 10w3 both want larger volume enclosures, and the TW series shallow-mount definitely cannot hang with the Kicker CompRT. I'm sure you can find other subs well suited to the groundshaker box and that amp.

I assume you have replacement front speakers and amp for those as well. I love accubass, but even with a dsp you want to tie into the front door speakers to get a full range signal.
