The amp has 2 x 40 amp fuses. The stock alternator I guess is 175 watts, which I didn't realize until I looked it up. The 1.800 is just for my subs, and I'll decide soon on what I want for my mids and highs, but it is likely to just be a 2 channel amp to power a component set in front. I'll...
My '23 FWD XLT Ecoboost. Bought in July '23. Hasn't hit 2,000 miles yet. It's put up for the winter now. Love it so far. Planning the audio upgrade over winter.
I just wondered who here is running a fairly powerful setup on stock Ecoboost alternator and wiring. I'm piecing together my system over the winter while I read the forums and see what everyone is doing to get a signal for the amps, etc. So far I only have an AudioControl LC-1.800. BestBuy had...
Mine isn't a daily driver, and it sill has less than 2k miles on it, but it's been lowered since about 200 miles and I haven't noticed anything negative. Handling is much improved. Ride quality is basically the same I think.
Any Update? I planned on getting the boxes for 2 10s, but I was hoping to hear more from you. In particular I'm curious if the boxes rattle around during loud music, how they sound with the seat down, does the seat rattle when it is down and covering the subs, etc. BestBuy had the AudioControl...
I did a measurement once for someone. I think the rear is about 1/4" higher still. Maybe 3/8". Supposedly it drops it 2" in front and 3.5" in rear. The ride is fine, and the handling is SO much better. Having the lighter wheels probably also helps a bit in the handling department as well.
It's vinyl. I had a rock hit me smack in the center of the hood about 5 miles from the dealer when I picked it up. I decided if I was paying to get it fixed, why not do something custom. I think it turned out great. Had lots of compliments.
Just had this paint work done a few weeks ago, and I'm loving it. Next up is audio, but he's mostly put up for the winter. FWD lowered on Eibach springs, Konig Ultragram wheels and 20% tint.

I was going to use an Audio Control unit of some sort, but not sure which model. From an effort standpoint, it would be much easier to tap into the rear speakers for amp input, but need to be 100% sure it's a full range signal. If someone can confirm it is a setting in FORSCAN that would be great.
When you put the seat down and cover the subs, do you have any issues with the pressure from the subs rattling the seat or anything? I assume the seat is heavy enough, but as I'm planning my system I'm trying to get all the info I can.
For the life of me I don't know why they bothered running those 12 volt wires to the bed and then not running them to the dash. Even if there were similar blanks in the dash with the wiring hiding behind, I'd pay for switches that could easily be swapped for the blanks
Hello, I'm just wondering if the 2 12 volt power connectors near the tailgate are wired into the cabin at all. I had an idea for something, but I'd want to put switches in the dash. I just wondered if anyone knew where to tap into those wires? Where do they go?
What's your full exhaust setup? I was looking at the Thermal R&D catback and Buschur downpipe from Fast Mavericks, but trying to get confirmation they work together with no other mods.
