I know I'm probably just being impatient, but my local dealership has had my '22 Hybrid for 2.5 days now for the 3 most recent recalls and replacing my CVs due to shaking while accelerating. They aren't offering me a rental/vehicle to use and getting updates is a voicemail tag game with them.

Anyone have a great experience with their dealership? Mine doesn't seem to be the worst, but definitely could communicate better and imo should be required to offer me a damn rental at their expense if more than a day imo.

Just needed a quick vent.

Hope everyone's having a good day!

2.5 days is nothing. I've had a dealer keep my truck on the lot for 10 days without it ever making it into a service bay.

Ultimately, someone has to pay for the rental or the loaner. Ford won't do it. And the dealers are more and more unlikely to do it as well.

Ford is overtaxed with warranty and recall work, if they offered loaner vehicles free of charge most of their dealer network would be bankrupt. It is what it is and part of the reason I got rid of my Maverick, quality and customer service has gone down the tubes compared to previous Fords owned. Now I go to my Lexus dealership for free maintenance and they offer me a loaner for an oil change and tire rotation. Jim Farley is a clown.

I suppose I'm just used to them being better from past experiences.

They did just give me a call back saying they plan to be done by end of the day. Fingers crossed. I could not and would not deal with 10 days wait time. That's nuts. Three days will have messed up my transportation enough.

Maybe I am too customer service oriented, but Ford should provide a loaner for a set period of time and then it should fall on the dealership if that period is exceeded, imo. Motivation to get shit done, or pay. That said, could be worse

That's how my axle replacement was handled, but on an EcoBoost. All in all, I'd say you have had a fantastic experience so far based on my very, very long history of dealing with Ford dealers.

Trust the move was not done to keep the company in the positive. It's pure greed. FORD as a company made it dealer choice and it's not been a good look for them since. Then again, they are so well in the green they don't care.

But yea, a couple days is not bad at all.

Had this done 6 months ago on my 22, took 1 day after the parts came in, replaced both cv's and axels,

My dealership will give me ride to the car rental place and pay for rental during recall work. I thought that was a standard procedure.

I have no proof and factors vary, but when I talked to my dealer about scheduling simple warranty work they said they would need it for 10 days.

I think some dealers use this as a tactic to discourage customers from bringing their vehicle in for warranty work.

I have read here over the past couple of years that people bring their vehicle in and then see it sit and sit. Ergo, my conclusion.

thats great, and when you are out of warranty and they fail AGAIN. they will get them done for you in one day and $700-$800.

Part of the reason I just replaced them myself. I cant even imagine playing this game with a dealership. I have the luxury of being able to replace them myself though. I feel for the people that dont have the option, Im sorry you have to deal with this.

Our trucks ,a base xl adjusted for inflation and value of the dollar falls right at price point of a 1930 model a touring .

I had exact problem with my dealership, Corwin Ford of Springfield MO.
I do believe that Ford corporate will cover rental cost for car rental when warrantied work is being done as long as a Ford vehicle is rented but didn't find out until after I had already arranged rental on my own. I had positive results by contacting Ford Corporate member on this site, they referred me to a Ford " Customer Experience Specialist" and although it was a tedious process I was satisfied in the end.

2 1/2 days?! Relax... My Maverick was in and out of the local Ford dealer for nearly 7 months.
