What’s the chances I just pencil whip this survey with the most random answers and say gimme my $50?
This ^^^

But they do throw in a few trick questions to make sure people aren't just rando-clicking.

Many of these questions are designed to determine what type of buyer you are. They do share commonality with portions of personality tests but if your tin-foil hat is feeling a little tight, then just lie to them and take their money.

I got it yesterday or day before and went through it last night.... I found nothing out of normal questions. Race, Sex, year born, what have you bought in the last six months. I checked Ford Maverick and an household appliance. It ended with I did not qualify.
Same here. There were no questions at all about my mental health. It was the standard race, sex, birth year and purchase history questions. It also ended with I didn't qualify for me too.

Recently helped my Aunt and Uncle with their new phone setups and the lack of knowing passwords, accounts, paired with the amount of spam crap they get made my jaw drop. I pretty much NEVER get stuff like this, maybe a spam email once every couple weeks that goes directly to the spam folder. I just don't understand it. It's not hard to weed this kind of crap out and stay vigilant online. Is anything really secure anymore? No. But the amount of people who get this stuff and willingly hand out their information is astonishing. And it's always for some cheap reward too. Sell your soul (identify) to literally the lowest bidder.

I didn't see it but that is likely because my email server flagged it as spam already. I would not answer any survey that doesn't come from Ford directly.

I wonder if Ford even hired them as Ford does have its own survey application (that I've used multiple times). Why not put Ford in the title instead of "Major North American Automobile Manufacturer"? Smells phishy.
Exactly!

I picked up on all of that and I agree with you. It’s very obvious that they’re looking to get an insight in their buyers likes, dislikes and even some potential personality “quirks”. Honestly, I think it’s smart marketing research.
I’m always careful about what I say and to who I say it. People often say I’m a really private person.
Here’s my sincere question:
What if I honestly answer those questions? What could they do with that information, that would apply to me specifically? It’s not like I’m planning to apply to become a CIA agent or seeking an appointment to the Supreme Court. LOL
If they asked for Social Security, Bank Account or Credit Card numbers—
No way!!
So again, politely: Why should I really care?
Thank you
P.S. I qualified and filled it out.
HERE’S what I’m wondering— Will I actually ever get a check? If not, I really don’t care, but I am curious

They can tell
One of the questions mixed in asks:
Where you born in the last three days
[] Yes
[] No

There are more than one of these things to catch pencil whipping

I got this email this afternoon...........actually reported it as a "phish alert" at work........due to the title saying $20 and the email body saying $50 for completing the survey. Had no idea Ford had sent it out........
You get person emails on work emails?

Many studies out there to determine how a mfg can get knuckleheads to order a truck then make them wait anywhere from 6-24 months to take delivery. What's new?

General rule of thumb with any sort of invasive questioning is: The less they know, the better.

Just because it got sent to your email doesn't mean the one you are replying to won't send/sell the confirmation of your email account actually being used by someone as a way to make a profit off more spam/pushing attacks. That's how phishing and spam work. They are testing the water with their toes, you reply, they jump in with the rest of the gang that shows up to the pool party.
