None of my regular people want to mess with painting the lower plastics because they know how much I drive (30k+ miles a year) and they are sure it’s not going to hold up

So unsure what I’m going to do

Just a thought here. I had to paint some plastic that paint would not stick to. I sprayed clear acrylic on the plastic and it stuck. Then I painted over the acrylic and the paint stuck. Might work?

Had to get properly sized t-taps
The ones I had were too big
Haven’t tested the auto dimming yet but garage door opener part is programmed and working

Ok well either I did something wrong or my mirror is defective
It’s got power, garage door part works but green light does not come on
Auto dimming and directions don’t function
I guess I’ll go through the whole thread and see if anyone else has a similar problem

How many wires did you hook up? There is one for constant 12v, one for switched 12v and one for ground. I used this pdf for guidance, page 17 is where they ID the wires, I had to do this cause they didnt send me the connector.

All really nice mods ! Since I finally got a vin I am starting to plan what mods to do so I can have them ready when it arrives.

what did this HVAC control pannel swap add just the digital temp readout ?

It's been well over a year since I drove a maverick and it was an XL So It probally wont be able to utilize dual climate control Can anyone confirm if it's possible to get add DCC on an XL ?

I used daddio211 instructions and mine is working.

I added this near the end of the thread:

A few things I felt I could clairfy for others:

• The black/white-striped wire provided by Kia connects to the purple wire. That's for ignition power.

• The center wire provided by Kia connects to the yellow wire for constant power.

• The wire far opposite of the black/white-striped wire connects to the black/blue wire for ground.

This is the harness for the dome light.

at some point I’ll smoke all the bumper lights (since the bumpers are black so they will blend in)
I’ve got a couple of BS a/c control panels with the temp screens I may put in, but the dash has more pieces than the Maverick so I might not get around to it

Why can’t Mavericks have auto dimming mirrors and seat memory!!!!

This weekend I’m skipping LST to work on my stereo stuff

Pretty sure that is what I did with the wiring, I guess after they are done with the recall airbag thing I’ll look again
