Nah go big or go home lol. I’m sure you will fight it out. Looking forward to the finished pics. I’m assuming you will make the amp rack out of wood? If so did you figure out how you will mount it to the rear wall?
Currently looking at using the jack tie downs and the car seat anchors
Something like that

Can you make it out of a solid sheet cutting a recessed area for the motor?

I was thinking the same thing. I also saw some one use elevator bolts jb welded to the real wall and fastened a piece of mdf to that.

You could, and I may do it that way since I’m hoping to recess the amps into the panel
It’s really all up in the air until I finalize the seat spacers
Many irons in the fire

Still don’t know what I’m doing
I guess now I’ll just cut a piece of plywood to match the template and go from there
Tomorrow I’m going over to my dads house to look at his Maverick (Hot Pepper Lariat too) to remind myself how the back seat meets the trim pieces and what not
I’ve forgotten and neglected to take many before pictures
Removed excess brackets to make room

And my Kia homelink mirror came in ($22 shipped) so add that to the list of things to do

So confirmed I’ll be using two car seat anchors and at least one of the jack tie down bolts to secure the amp rack panel
Also mounted to this panel will be the rear seat upper mount latch thing (since we’ve spaced the seat out it won’t reach the factory location)
Getting closer
Wednesday we should be cutting the last of the wood…. Then all I have to do is some finishing work and put everything back in (well I guess some things will be going in for the first time)

This my first time really using CAD to build things out (cardboard aided drafting)

Cardboard is your friend! I love using it instead of guessing on real wood, especially now with wood prices still absurdly high.

C.A.D. can be Cardboard Aided Design. It definitely helps saving time and more importantly $$

Ok last pics of the Bronco
Getting it tinted tomorrow and the lift on Wednesday
Already removed dumb stickers and swapped the wheels (powder coated FX4 wheels)

at some point I’ll smoke all the bumper lights (since the bumpers are black so they will blend in)
I’ve got a couple of BS a/c control panels with the temp screens I may put in, but the dash has more pieces than the Maverick so I might not get around to it

Why can’t Mavericks have auto dimming mirrors and seat memory!!!!

This weekend I’m skipping LST to work on my stereo stuff

I guess to document the changes made

A couple of modifications of note:
Retro fit a/c controls with the temp screens from a 21 Bronco Sport
Editing an Escape control panel that works flawlessly
Some people have been able to use the Bronco one with no issue
I guess your mileage may vary

All really nice mods ! Since I finally got a vin I am starting to plan what mods to do so I can have them ready when it arrives.

what did this HVAC control pannel swap add just the digital temp readout ?

It's been well over a year since I drove a maverick and it was an XL So It probally wont be able to utilize dual climate control Can anyone confirm if it's possible to get add DCC on an XL ?

Ok I think I’m now at the point where I can go ahead and start doing final finishes and run wires
Fitted the rear panel and attached the seat striker…. Mocked up the amps and made sure there was space (still tight!)
Added the finish panel to the baffle
It’s glued and screwed and will be getting black carpet laid over it
Seat spacers v.2 work great
Just need to paint them black or something
Gives extra room under and behind the seat
Probably cuts down on space back there but no one but teenaged girls ever ride back there (which is very rare)
Next step is running wires to the front and installing front speakers…. Will be adding sound damping to the doors at that time
Totally forgot about my new mirror I wanted to hook up
Got distracted because we had to fix something on the Jeep

Looking good! Do you have any brackets that hold the bottom of the amp rack? I was thinking about using one of the jack bolts for mine.

The bottom is touching but I plan to have basically a wedge piece to keep it from moving forward (using the two forward jack mount bolts)
But as far as up and down it’s not going anywhere

Just to clarify the rack is sitting between the forward and rearward jack mount bolts
