My BAP headlights have been produced and are waiting to be shipped
Mid March I should have them installed on my Hot Pepper
The Carbonized Gray Lariat Lux+ will be available for purchase shortly after we take some family photos (3 Mavericks, 3 Bronco Sports and an F150)
Hindsight is 20/20…. I probably should have ordered a less optioned 23 Lariat so it would be easier to move
Getting a little nervous I might lose some money reselling it

So you bought a new truck strictly to get the BAP items off of it?

Only the headlights
I’ve already blacked out everything else I care about (better than Ford did)
I figure someone would be excited enough to have the black seats that they wouldn’t care about having standard lariat headlights (they already have black in them) IF they even noticed the difference
I know some people aren’t fans of black headlights so maybe it’ll be a win for some lucky person (MSRP with no wait time!, well plus the tax I’ll have to pay)

man I don't know how I haven't stumbled upon this thread yet, but incredible build so far and gorgeous truck! (in the best color ;)) Will definitely be taking some inspiration on a few things from this thread. Great work, thanks for being so willing to share info!

Gotcha! Yeah, all I really cared about were the black seats and the wheels. I probably would've gladly taken one without all the other items. I might end up changing the side mirrors myself as I'd rather have the body color ones vs the black

Because I want factory black headlights… and you can’t buy them currently not to mention they are like $2000 if they were available
I’d rather get them for free
black housing the headlight , take them apart etc. before buying a Mav just for the headlights

Minor thing
My sister got all weather floor mats for her Bronco Sport so I grabbed her rear carpeted mats for my truck (since they don’t offer them for the Maverick)
Truck is still taken apart but the mats look good

How’s the fiberglass going?
The fiberglassing of the box is done
It’s super solid and I hope I never have the desire to remove it, because it’ll be a huge mess to get it out
Today I was making more cardboard templates to decide where things go and how to mount them
I really wish I had huge blocks of time I could dedicate to this…. I’m ready to be done with it already
Ford Maverick volksnuts’ Lariat Maverick build B034BC84-10A9-4E88-8566-63ACD971FFEC

going to have to trim some brackets and completely remove others to cleanly mount things behind the seat
The rear window motor is in a really annoying spot, but I’ve gotten use to using the back window so I guess I’ll just have to work around it
The Rockford Fosgate T2500-1bd is a lot bigger than I remember it being (also very heavy)
I was hoping for symmetry back there but too many components to fit everything like I had envisioned
Which is ok, it’ll be rare for anyone to look behind the rear seat anyway

Looking good. For some reason I thought there was a lot more room back there lol. I guess pictures can be deceiving. I saw alot of other peoples amp racks and I guess they just have smaller amps or something but when I looked behind there I was surprised.. here’s a quick mock-up of what I’m possibly thinking for mine. This will be mounted on the left side. I have talked to a few people and they recommend the fix 86 so I need to find a spot for that too lol. Maybe somewhere on the right side.

The Lariat adds a bunch of modules and stuff back there…. Even the back of the seat is different…. It’s got extra padding right above the cab vent to quiet it down
I’ve pretty much removed all that can be removed to make space
I could have gone with smaller amps, but what fun would that be?

Nah go big or go home lol. I’m sure you will fight it out. Looking forward to the finished pics. I’m assuming you will make the amp rack out of wood? If so did you figure out how you will mount it to the rear wall?
