My 2023 XLT hybrid was built in March. After multiple delays and getting nowhere with customer service or my dealership, I found out that my order had been damaged somehow during transport from the factory to the shipping location. My Maverick was sent back to the factory for repair. I received an email from my dealership yesterday, informing me that my order and Vin had been scraped. Fords solution, was to "put my 2024 order at the front of the line."
I only put a 2024 order in because my 2023 had not arrived and I want to ensure that I was in line again. Unfortunately, with pricing increases, I ordered a XL trim instead of the XLT that I really wanted. Am I wrong in feeling like price protection and a upgrade in trim to XLT should be the minimum that Ford does for me? I'd call customer service, but they have historically been less than helpful.
