Once the vehicle is shipped it is out of Fords control. If it was shipped back to the factory and scrapped, Ford's only obligation is too build you another similar trim. Hopefully they count it as a 23 rollover and provide the private offer.
That's really all I want at this point. In hindsight, I should have just ordered the 2024 in xlt trim. At the time, I still had hope I would be getting my 2023.

Are you sure the vehicle was actually damaged during transport?

While it does happen vehicles aren't usually sent back to the factory for repair. If the damage is minor it is usually repaired at the dealer before being sold. If the damage is major the vehicle is usually sold to a salvage yard. I've never heard of a vehicle being sent back to the factory for repair as that is to cost prohibitive.

Are you sure the dealer just didn't sell the vehicle to someone else? That is usually the case when I read threads like these.
Remember, the dealer is telling the OP this, so I am sure it was not sent back to the factory either. My 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 had the radio stolen out of it on its way to the dealership. It arrived at the dealer, I requested a new factory harness, and the dealer and Dodge agreed to this. My 2015 my BMW M5 windscreen was damaged in transport (I did a European Delivery, and when I dropped it off in Paris no damage) when it arrived in LA it was found broken, fixed windscreen with a new one, and shipped to Phoenix.

Damage happens, but they are never sent back to the factory.
