Show me more! When you say dome lights, did you just remove the rear view mirror/forward facing camera housing and tap into there? Is that buck converter you added housed in there? My worry is messing up the forward facing camera calibration.

Just tapped into the switched 12 volts…black and purple in my case.

I basically did the same thing, tapped the harness for power to both a 12v to USB (Dashcam) and to feed the KIA Homelink/Auto-Dimming mirror. Works like a charm.

Can I ask how you remove the dome light/sunglass holder housing? I've got the forward camera housing off, but no idea how to remove the other one.

Plastic pry tool, then just get your fingers in both sides and pull it down!
