Upgrading stereo sound system?

Good afternoon from Puerto Rico, Thank you for allowing me to be part of the Maverick forum. I just purchased a 2022 XLT AWD after a very long 9 month wait via Military auto sales. I am someone disappointed in the high distortion of the sound system. I recently went to car stereo store and I was informed that nothing could be done for now because of a built-in code and lack of harness available to add anything to achieve a better sound. Any suggestions?

Check the search. There are several threads on upgrades. Seems to be popular consensus that the speakers are the weakest part of the system. Upgrade the door speakers and consider a self powered subwoofer.
