I have the same size wheels on mine and they’ve been fine.
Any warranty work by chance? The hunting gears si far only happened initially.

Without flaming me too much :), I just put these on. Obviously these are quite heavy and noticed some struggling upshifting or higher rpm shifts to compensate. I've read up on this size increase and nobody seemed to mention it. I'm actually also concerned with my extended warranty I have through Ford and their willingness to fix say a transmission or cv axle later on with these bigger tires. I just bought these yesterday and I'm considering exchanging them for oem size but keep the all terrain style. Any input or advice would be appreciated.

Just not something I would recommend.

I have a hybrid so no and it was my dealership that sold them to me so not worried about it. Nothing was disclosed to me about it voiding any warranty in speech or writing.

235 is the sweet spot for the Maverick in my opinion. Helps settle down the Maverick and makes it feel more planted without being too much just for the sake of being big.
100% agree. I went with 235 and CC2. What a difference in look and feel. Only 3lbs heavier and less than 1 mph difference at highway speed. Well worth the expense. Gives a more “beefy” look to the Mav. I haven’t seen any significant mpg degradation.

I guess they are about 11 pounds heavier for each tire. Thanks for the help 👍.
Wow that's a lot of rotational mass to move around. Probably going to kill your gas milage and hurt your acceleration with that weight. I went with Firestone Destination AT2 in 235/65 r17. They are only 4lbs more than stock and I notice no difference on my hybird.

245/55/18 is the same diameter as your old tires and won’t cause a speed difference, although maybe an odd size.

In another thread, I posted:

initially replaced my OEM Michelins with Cooper Road and Trail, increased the size to 235/65/18. Mostly I wanted 3Peak rating and they had good reviews on Tire Rack. I thought the up size looked better, and the taller tire was a noticeable height increase. HOWEVER, the tire was about 7 pounds heavier, dropped my mileage by at least 3-4 mpg, etc. I think the extra width (more impact surface) and the 20% increase in tire weight overwhelmed the suspension. The ride was noticeable impacted in a bad way and harsh. Could have been my imagination, but I also think it was a bit harder overcoming the inertia. So, Copper has a 45-day money back satisfaction guarantee that I took advantage off. I swapped the tires for Cooper Enduramax, original size, which was also 3Peak rated. I might have maybe tried 235/60/18, but I only had a chance for one swap. I am reasonably with the tire and the swap. I think a bit larger tire looks better, but a +7 pound, wider tire was not good.

Just my experience and opinions.

Do you really think there going to check your tires if you have mechanical issues under warranty? What about all the people that lift or lower vehicles I THINK they lose their warranty on the parts they installed not the whole truck. I would THINK? BTW looks great.

Reminds me of the time my buddy put 31,s on his 80,s 4 cyl Toyota. It wouldn't go over 60 mph lol

I replaced my oem tires with the same size as you. But I went the Crossclimate 2s. About a 4 or 5lb weight gain per and a small reduction in mpg and acceleration. But the traction and handling are off the charts relative to before in all conditions. Alas, they are not offroaders and don't look the part either. Your transmission should reset to your new inputs. Disconnecting the battery for a bit might speed that process along.

Thanks man. Yeah the transmission seems to have already adjusted or it's not as noticeable now.
