I find it absolutely crazy that well over a year later, people are still having this issue even on 2023 models.

Did anyone ever get a check engine/red triangle warning light on their dash when they jump started their car?

I did not notice any check engine lights or warnings after jumping mine. I drove it for ~10min to charge the battery up after jumping, then I parked it and shut everything off. Battery voltage was ~11.5v immediately after parking. I got the “deep sleep mode” warning again after it was parked and shut off for about an hour.

I’ll be taking it to the dealer tomorrow morning, but I’m not optimistic about them finding a permanent solution unless somebody else on here has already found one.

If there is no fix then what are you doing? Do you just jumpstart your truck every time it’s dead?
I've been doing that very thing since December. Absolutely zero problems the first nine months and ~20,000 miles, then random no-crank, no power episodes.

Issue is intermittent and two Ford dealership service departments couldn't resolve it. The Ford Motor Company lurker account contacted me, but went silent. It is a characteristic of my Maverick (and others). One can mitigate it with jump start devices, but there hasn't been a fix apparently.

Have you had your battery replaced yet? On many of these threads I’ve seen people reporting battery replacement as being one of the first steps taken by the dealership.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Maverick concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

The battery replacement is just a quick fix to get you out of there when the service department is really busy and they don't wanna deal with it that day.

My original battery on mine drained down to 2 volts (11 volts the day prior) so of course it failed a load test. But it technically could have been revived on a long slow charge. It wasn't until the 3rd or 4th time I took it in to the service dept, they called a ford service engineer out and must have done the DIY wiring harness fix which took them 31 days to perform. Got the truck back with bird crap all over the hood and roof covered in dust from being parked under a telephone pole in the service dept storage lot for all that time.

Thank you but I did multiple times in early 2022 and you guys didn't do anything about it so I ended up selling it to Carvana because I didn't want a ticking time bomb. Just following this post out of curiosity.

This was my experience as well. 2023 XLT Hybrid with countless battery issues. They told me they replaced my 12V during my 1st of 3 visits to Ford Service. Despite it being replaced (although, no paper work showed a replacement battery - they had to type it up afterwards during my 3RD visit because apparently the tech "forgot" to do the paperwork during my 1st visit)

I had the last few weeks in the clear, my screen and lights were coming on every time I entered the car. I joked that maybe my drain had "fixed itself" - I knew it wasn't the case lol.

Woke up this morning to a completely dead truck. My Hulkman Alpha 8.5 wouldn't even get it started. It was flashing error code 2 at me (I just looked it up and Error Code 2 means the battery voltage is below 8v). Now I know how to bypass it and allow the power to flow...but in the moment, I went back to my original Noco GB40 booster which successfully started my truck.

Now I'm at work stressed again and trying to decide if later I should just go purchase a DieHard Gold battery out of pocket and swap it myself. Posters in other threads have reported that after swapping out the Motorcraft with a Duralast/DieHard that their problems went away. I don't know what else to do.

How many times have you had to jump start your truck? In 3 months of ownership (23 Hybrid) I've had to do it 3 times. The first 2 times within a few weeks of ownership in March/April and then I had the last month of no noticeable problems...until this morning when I was locked out, completely dead vehicle.

I jumped it and came to work. I have had it into the dealership 3 times and they've been beyond unhelpful. I want to know how many times one can jump their vehicle without there being any other issues/problems. I know it's not ideal, but, I agree that there is no definitive solution to this. I want to just live with the problem because the alternatives for trucks are too expensive, too time-consuming (ordering new) or too fuel-inefficient.

I wish I knew what that gremlin was. My truck is nearing 3 months old, and although if I leave it sit for a week, I get the Deep Sleep message and interior lights don't come on...but never has it failed to start. Mine was built 1/12/23 and is a Lariat Hybrid Lux, so I'd expect even more battery drain from "things." Knock on wood. I do have a voltmeter/usb plug stuck in the 12 volt socket to keep an eye on the voltage. I have seen voltages in the 11.7v range which concerns me because I am well aware from RV experience that voltages below 12.2v are NOT good for battery health.

I've jump started it about 8 or 9 times. It is not a dim lights situation or other weak indicator, it is completely dark. I have to use the physical key, open the driver's door, reach to the back door handle to open it from inside. Then raise the seat and retrieve the Noco. The Noco has a built-in light, so I can then open the hood, and use the Noco to bring the Maverick to life. Mind you, if at night, in a dark area, the first part of this is done by touch.

I have to agree with mhw21zap in that there are no alternatives. I hate dealing with the issues, but the Maverick design is exactly what I need, so I've dealt. That said, the hybrid heat exchanger issue is concerning and I'm pondering my options at this point. I don't want to get stuck with it post-warranty, especially once the word spreads.
