Unable to put Rear Seat down

Has any of you Maverick owners had your rear seat stuck and unable to put it down after using the storage area under the seat? If so, how were you able to put it down? Thanks

Honestly not being wise - are you pulling on the release handles on bottom of seat to unlock and saying it is stuck upright?

Did you pull on the straps to release the locks to lower it back down?

That's correct..... pulled on the release handles to raise the seat to the position you see in the picture. The problem is that even with one person on ether side pulling on the straps, the seat will not lower in the sitting position.

Yes... one person on either side pulling on the straps still would not lower the seat back down.

This might seem like another dumb question, but Is there anything you've put under the seat that might be obstructing it from closing?

Maybe you tried, but did you push the seat up more then pull the strap to put it down. Mine was tricky until I figured that out.

I did than when viewing a display model before the official release. Didn't know it had to be pushed farther back to release it, so I slunk away in disgrace.

DON’T do that! Pulling the straps releases the seat. Just push the seat back down.

Lift and hold strap rotate hand so palm is resting flat on seating surface. Keep strap tight and rotate seat just a little more to the seat back then push back down. Keep strap pulled entire movement.
I had exactly same experience with seat stuck for the first two days of ownership.
Do you want the tip on reseating the seat back to stay in place?

DON’T do that! Pulling the straps releases the seat. Just push the seat back down.

It also locks in the up position, and you have to pull the strap to release it to lower the seat.
