Based on the many recommendations, I just ordered a bottle. $15 on Amazon.

I rust proofed mine with Waxoyl in the cavities and fluid filmed the rest.I love that but with the unibody construction I'm more worried about what I can't see. Here in the upper Midwest they're way too liberal with the salt which will rot out the structural stuff.
Agree,I've been using the TurtleWax ceramic for the past 4 years on my 2022. It checks all my boxes: affordable, easily acquired, great results, a little goes a long way, and long lasting protection. If I may, let me pass along this: very important to read the directions. I had a tough time with swirl problems until I followed the directions to use a damp cloth to pick up any excess. Your Maverick looks great!
Within a few days of taking delivery of my 2025 Eruption Green Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid I did a clay bar treatment on it (which I highly recommend). I also took some measures and applied a quality wipe on wipe off sealant. I recently was talking to a very knowledgeable paint and body shop owner about our RV’s and he told me about this TurtleWax Product and that he started using and loved the results and actually gave me a demonstration on his vehicle.
I decided to order a few bottles and after washing my Maverick today I decided to give it a try. After drying it I used one micro-cloth to apply it and a second one to buff it out by hand. I was very happy with the results and the ease of applying it. We’ll see how it holds up but for now I plan to reapply it monthly I did the entire truck in less than 30 minutes…

Looks great! I'm definitely going to try this. I get about 3 or 4 spams a day from people offering a professional ceramic treatment. Some want around $900-$1500 to perform this service with varying degrees of longevity promised. I'm seeing everything from 12 months-3 years. Now I am seeing a new coating and i cannot remember the exact name but it's supposed to be better than ceramic. I asked a few people who know more about this stuff (body shop manager and a longtime car show entrant and winner)and they all think that it's a rip off. Your mileage may vary. For those of us who aren't able to keep our Mavs in a garage and away from the elements daily, I would think that any kind of protective coating would be beneficial, especially in areas where the temps in the summer hover around 90 or more.Within a few days of taking delivery of my 2025 Eruption Green Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid I did a clay bar treatment on it (which I highly recommend). Thank you Bill I was looking at getting my Maverick professionally ceramic coated when I first took delivery but it’s not a show truck so I opted for this much more affordable option costing just pennies per application and very easy I like the resultsLooks great! @Edge Haley Can you share what coating you used? I use Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light and have had great results but it's a small bottle and I get one vehicle per bottle. My ONE bottle of professional grade Ceramic Coating has done 2 cars, 1 Maverick, and 2 motorcycles...and I have plenty still in the bottle....it was $90-$100+- but the labor involved makes it worth it to last 5, 6 years....My Cayman still beads like a duck after 6 years. Rages are critical and best place is the "Rag Shop" or "Rag Shack"...they are not just micro-fiber rags but "micro-fiber polishing rags". I too wash my Maverick 3 or 4 times a year, a garden hose "alone" usually does the job.
Dan - sounds like you're putting on too much CC...I used 3 or 4 drops to cover 2 sq feet.@Edge Haley Can you share what coating you used? I use Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light and have had great results but it's a small bottle and I get one vehicle per bottle.
Thanks
That's what I did - definitely bought a single vehicle bottle and applied it as per directions as a "this bottle is enough for one car or smaller SUV" It's a tiny bottle!Dan - sounds like you're putting on too much CC...I used 3 or 4 drops to cover 2 sq feet.
Several have asked about the "better" Ceramic Coating products. Porsche's website just released their list of 5 best Ceramic Coating from professionals CC shops..."Price" of each product is now about 1/2 what it was 4, 5 years ago.Dan - sounds like you're putting on too much CC...I used 3 or 4 drops to cover 2 sq feet.
The brand I used is "CarPro" CQ.UK 3.0 Coating - but note the $100.+- was a kit. Included application pads, secondary hardening chemical, and supply of 3 types of micro-fiber rags. Tiny bottle, but I've done 3 cars and 2 motorcycles and that tiny bottle would easily do 1 more car. I have an advantage since my neighbor owns 3 Ceramic dealerships and contracts with 10 to 15 local high end car dealerships to do Ceramic Coating...He let me help do one of his jobs. It's not complicated...but he sold me on getting CC that last at least 4-> 5+ years...less if car in not kept in a garage. According to my neighbor the main difference on name brands and stock brands is hardening of the CC. The price difference is it is a Ceramic Coating not a Ceramic Spray. The Ceramic "Coating" is rubbed into the paint surface...versus a Spray that is more like a top surface wax...
Neighbor's key is long lasting chemicals since it took me 8+ hours to do the Maverick, and car really needs to be in a garage for 24 hours to let CC harden chemical setup....I've used Turtle Wax products for years and they are excellent, did my wife's Honda CRV with Turtle Ceramic Spray last year (Hr & 1/2) but her Honda needs redone soon. I went to higher end CCoating for my vehicles since I keep them at least 5-10 yrs and did not want to redo...
My neighbor felt my Maverick's paint surface and recommended a "claybar" since it is a less than a perfect paint job...CarPro is 3 steps, and much harder to apply than Turtle CC...since it take 3 steps, (4 with claybar) my neighbors advise was spot-on. "Rag-Shack" microfiber was a necessity for proper polishing... Neighbor with 20 employees, not a big fan of using machines to buff. Pretty essential to use Ceramic Coating soap when washing...it refreshes the CC coating. When dirty, a garden hose washes off most of crude, but I use a light soapy rag with Ceramic soap. Neighbor's best advice was doing the "claybar", I used Turtle's claybar kit to clean paint surface.
Ceramic Coating Shops charge $900-$1200+. I'd never pay that when I can do it myself in my own garage on a Saturday or Sunday and have it last 5 plus years. It is not complicated, just follow instructions on box....most any car takes 8 hours. The Maverick does take a step ladder to reach roof and hood.
Foot note: I bought CarPro 7 - 8 years ago I'm sure there are more advance pro type Ceramic Coating products now.
Porsche Cayman S - 8 years - still beads like a duck.

Maverick CC - 4 years ago, MY 2022 - Maverick has 1,000's of miles of dirt roads, x-country twice...and I don't see any difference in CC than when I put on in Jan 2022; still beads like a duck.

After using the Turtle ceramic wax, I wash it later with the Turtle ceramic car wash. I use it all the time. Good product and will last for a good 9 months before having to reapplyAfter using the Turtle ceramic wax, I wash it later with the Turtle ceramic car wash. Keeps a great coating on it. Follow directions and don't expect a lot of suds.
