Turning Off Seatbelt Reminder (2025)

The user manual instructions disable the chime only on a per-seat basis.

To do the passenger seat:
With only myself in the truck, I sat in the passenger seat and followed the owner manual instructions, just like for the driver's seat.

IIRC, I had to repeat the process multiple times before I got the passenger seat disabled. Try it several times, if at first you don't succeed. Also try it with & without the Parking brake engaged.

With wife in her seat, buckling and unbuckling, tried it number of times, w and wo parking brake. Finally she gave up, just impatient.

I will look up what worked for me in my 22, cause manual didn’t work there either. Give me a minute and I’ll try it on my 25 and post instructions. This confirmed working for me just now.........DO NOT START vehicle, I have push button start now, so just hit the button without foot on the brake. parking brake was on, did both front seats, from the drivers seat. Good luck!

It’s a hit n miss affair. I was able to nullify the chime for drivers seat but not passenger side. My wife unbuckles hers first, against my advice, just before turning onto the driveway. I thought of stopping at the corner of our ”short” street, drop her off there….lol.

I didn’t wait for the seatbelt light to “go off” before starting, it never would on the 22, and wouldn’t on the 25 either. Just got in, pushed start button, counted to 5 and then started buckling and unbuckling. It’s been a PIA for a lot of folks to turn off the chime

What’s noted in the manual, same as what other owners stated here. Tried both with and without parking brakes. Can’t recall which, but did both methods. But in my case, didn’t realized got it right till next day when driving the truck, unhooked the seatbelt and suddenly no chime! Boy I was surprised! And happy.

• The ignition is off.
• You close all vehicle doors.
• You unfasten the driver and front
passenger seatbelts.

1. Start the engine.

2. Wait a short period of time until the
seatbelt warning light switches off.
After Step 2, wait an additional five
seconds before proceeding with Step
3. Once you start Step 3, complete the
procedure within 30 seconds.

3. For the seating position you are
switching off, fasten then unfasten the
seatbelt four times at a moderate
speed, ending in the unfastened state.
After each unfasten, the seatbelt
warning light switches on and off with
each fasten.

4. The seatbelt warning light flashes for
confirmation.

OMG, I finally got it to work! The OM is wrong in 2 places for my 2025 Lariat Hybrid AWD . . I did NOT 1. Start the engine and I did NOT
2. Wait a short period of time until the
seatbelt warning light switches off. I did everything else as written and it worked.
