As I mentioned earlier, using tow/haul mode or sport mode will avoid low RPMs and lugging without manual intervention.
After changing my Intake And Exhaust I noticed my shifting points changed *I know Odd but that's how it feels* but from reading this thread it sounds like its low RPM lugging ? As it almost always happens around 2000 RPMs, or just before you think it should be shifting.

Recently got a Access Port, and the pre-installed tunes helped a bit with the lugging, but I am now looking into a full custom tune for the build lol.

I follow most of these *Rules* for my turbo, I come from a 2019 WRX Limited *loved that car :(*

Every 4-6k miles new oil, remote start the truck before I go anywhere for a few mins, even at work etc.

I never go crazy with the throttle, as it'll freakout as mentioned above, pretty sure its a tuning issue with the transmistion ? Around 50MPH it's usually in a gear I can then really let loose if I want, especially when getting onto the highway etc.

I have learned as with my WRX where the transmistion *Likes* to shift and that if I get up to that point, then let off a bit then back it'll shift faster, so that's helped, just not as fast as my WRX was....lil spoiled on that haha.

Usually when you go bigger on intake and exhaust you swap bottom end for top end.

I went with a S&B intake and a Thermal R&D 3" exhaust, sounds awesome, just wished it didn't have the resonator >.> my WRX didn't and I had no issues with that setup lol. In the future I may make a custom quad tip exhaust, but we're see XD.

My guess is that your mods increased airflow, but without remapping the fuel table, it wasn’t enough fuel, so it ran lean, which lead to low rpm detonation, which led to the ECU retarding the timing to prevent detonation, which led to a steep drop off in torque while it was running lean.

Aftermarket “Cold Air Intakes” typically use the vehicle’s Mass Airflow Sensor in their design.

EB’s don’t use MAFs, but Manifold Absolute Pressure sensors instead. Is that another reason for me to avoid a CAI in my Maverick? Does a MAP instead of a MAF affect your diagnosis above?

I will soon be installing a catback exhaust. I use my paddle shifters in manual mode (very fast shifts:)). Do you predict any difference in the feel of my paddle shifting?

Sorry I don’t know how to downshift to avoid lugging in the Maverick 8speed. Maybe someone with experience can answer?
My paddle shifters make downshifts easier to explain:)
My 2024 AWD Eco Lariat never lugs. Pulls just fine at 1300-1400 rpm. Although I drive it harder so I rarely see those low RPM’s
