Taking my Maverick tomorrow to get this module uploaded and hopefully that further fixes the grabby brakes issue. The previous TSB would decrease the occurrence about 70% so this one should add more consistency. Will update the thread with how the truck performs after some driving tomorrow!

Dropped mine off this morning for the new TSB also.
TSB doesn’t seem to mention that the modules have been updated a second time for this problem.. Im not convinced this TSB does anything new other than separate itself from the EGR issue? What say you?

Don't know yet. The software part number is exactly the same from first TSB to second TSB. Whether it's an updated version of the same part number is unknown by me.

Other people on the forum here have said they had the second one done and it solved the problem when the first one had not. The service writer didn't know, so in my case I wait until it gets done to see.

I have it in also for the airbag recall and the EGR TSB, so I expect I don't get it back for a day or two.

Just came back from having first oil change and this TSB performed. Its raining out so it's hard to tell if it made any difference, but the grabbing was very obvious so I am hoping the TSB works. Other than that one issue my truck has been flawless. Sept. 2022 build, only 2800 miles.

Service manager said its just an update to the software so I'm thinking a recalibration is all

interesting. Mine had a serious and consistent issue with the braking, a startling surge and clunk.. The software update after the 1st TSB completely resolved it.. For those that didn’t see good results after the first TSB, I wonder if the service department even got it installed correctly.

They did, it was a noticeable improvement but did not eliminate the issue completely. The consensus was a ~70% reduction

I dropped mine off this morning to have the 23-2060 tsb done. I picked it up about an hour ago. It’s driving great so far, the pedal has a consistent feel now. I’m happy with the update.

Got mine back after the TSB brake software update. Only driven 15 or 16 miles but feels much more normal now.

EXCEPT THEY ALSO REPROGRAMMED MY RADIO / CENTER DISPLAY SYSTEM.

Not happy at all with this. 🤬

Now every time I exceed 5 mph I get this annoying pop up. And I don't mean the first time. I mean every single time I exceed 5 mph.

Come away from 14 stop signs, I get the pop-up 14 times.
It never did this before.

Edit: it does this every drive cycle but it times out and quits doing it after a while. Not sure how long the "while" is.
The "14 times quote" was slow n go in a mall parking lot so 🤷🏻‍♂️.

There's no "ok" "yes" or "I acknowledge and take full responsibility for my actions" button I can click to make this message go away.

What's up? Anyone else?
This is related to software update for the brakes and airbag recall / replacement done on the same visit. Also my dashboard settings were returned to "factory values" like EV coach was shut off which was no big deal. But what's up with the radio screen?

Two steps forward, one step back....

In my 2005 Escape Hybrid it would not allow you to use certain features while the vehicle was in motion. After a while I reached under the dash; cut the VSS wire and spliced in a switch.

VSS: Vehicle Speed Sensor

Switch off: all features available but GPS moving maps would not move. This was a "feature" to keep your moving maps moving in tunnels, and city scapes with poor GPS sky view.
So I couldn't cut the wire and leave it cut. The switch was the solution.

May have to do this in the Maverick.

Got mine back on Friday. Haven't had the chance to drive a lot yet so I'm not ready to render an ultimate decision on the effectiveness of the fix. At first blush it does seem better, but it did the first TSB update also. Will report back after a hundred miles.
