Today a weird problem came up. I can not lock my truck! When I try to use the Auto Lock on the door handle, it does nothing, it will not respond.
So I open the door and press the Lock Button on the door panel, the door locks and I close the door, it Beeps Twice and Unlocks! There is no notices
on the dash or elsewhere, nothing. So I use my phone to lock the truck, which appears to work, however when I came back to the truck 15 minutes or
so later, there was no response from the door handle that I could hear, however the door was now unlocked? Do not know when that happened.

Any Ideas?

Mystery solved! The Truck is smarter than I am. My keys had fallen off my belt and were in the truck! Who Knew?

Happens. The good news is anyone who reads your post will gain an insight as to why they have the same experience.

Unfortunately, mine WILL lock with the keys still in the ignition, along with my phone--actually had to call a locksmith! Having driven a Toyota Prius for several years prior, I had no idea this could happen!

Weird that after touching the handle didn’t lock it, your first instinct was to use your phone to lock it and not the fob.

I have keyed ignition, and this is why I never lock a vehicle with anything but the fob. If you make that a habit, you'll never lock your keys in.

I have button ignition. Never thought of the fob, don't know why, just never occurred to me at the time. Getting OLD and forgetful.

I know why I didn't use the fob, it was in the truck on the keys that came off my belt. However if I had thought of the fob, I would then have realized that the keys were missing. OLD Guy Moment!
