That stinks.
If they repair before titling it, it might not be on carfax report. They can tell you if they report it or not.
Then you have to decide if you want a repaired truck or not. For me, it would depend on whether they are replacing an entire panel or repairing it. Tough call, when there is a huge wait to order another.

I believe being fixed at the dealer before officially sold means it will not show on a carfax
Doesn’t look like it’s a big repair
Hopefully they are good at matching the color
When we painted parts of my Magnetic Gray F150 it was a bear to match

Be cautious on ford dealers doing body repairs...this was my NEW bronco when they repaired a tiny dimple on the back door!!!! Long story short,
I was lucky as hell as they had another antimatter blue mannequin on their lot, and after several threats of bringing it to the best body shop in town and fighting about it in court, they replaced my door with their mannequin.

IF they are NOT getting g paid, they do it on the CHEAP side...aka...shitty side! LAST picture is the replaced door! QUITE a difference! I was at the dealer for a couple days...for hours going at it with the body shop mgr....sales mgr knew I was madder than a wet hen, he had to call the owner to get approval. The owner said in over 50 years of business, he had never been so embarrassed.
