Do you think there's room in the Maverick?

I doubt it, but someone who knows what's behind the front bumper would be better to answer. These newer cars/trucks use every inch of space for crumple zones and foam.

how did you handle the wiring transition from factory to after market?

I wired a 3 second time delay relay from the existing horn to activate the air horn. Hold the horn button down for more than 3 seconds, and the air horn chimes in. This makes wiring simple by not needing a second switch for the horn.

I went ahead and started a new thread regarding louder horns. Seems this thread concentrated more on the consequences of having "train" horns, than on alternatives to the OEM horns.
