Trailer hitch problems

I have had my 23 Maverick for a year with the factory installed trailer hitch. I’m getting ready to buy a small fishing boat and have the trailer already. I am getting a signal going to my blinkers from the truck to the female end of the light port of the hitch but not to the tail lights. It’s obviously a new vehicle so I can’t think of a reason why this would happen. The tail lights of the truck work but not to the hitch. I’m wondering if anyone has had similar experiences or advice on how to remedy. Thanks

There was a recall I believe for this. Not sure if the attachments are relevant but take a look

You could always get a pin connector tester to be sure issue is on Mav and could also use to show dealer the tester is showing failure when dropping off.

Probably the missing harness but I also had a blown fuse on my 2022 that caused the same.

UGA beat me to it, I discovered this back in Jan 2023. Check your VIN # to see if the recall covers your build.

Yes, I had the same exact problem, but with a different vehicle. I had to slightly crimp the females to make the connections just a little bit tighter.

There was a recall for this,which was done before I picked up my 23 maverick in May of 23.
