😯I'm surprised. I'm not familiar with Volkswagen products but good luck with it. Looks like a more luxurious ride than the Maverick. 👍🏻

It was fun while I had it, zero issues, just wanted something else. Got a VW Atlas Cross Sport.
I'm not familiar with that vehicle, but if its what you like and what you wanted, I say Awesome and Congratulations !!

Very different vehicles.
May you have zero issues with the Atlas.

In a "FORD" it would be like getting an, Explorer...
Never heard of it either. So, I did some digging.
Does have issues (like what car doesn't).
The infotainment is having a lot of bugs...

To each his own...

MUCH more luxurious, in the SEL Premium trim I got. Much more legroom front and back. Slightly more towing capacity.

Yep, the 2024's had infotainment issues. I got a 2025, no issues. Got a huge discount, time will tell if it's reliable.

Volkswagen, like Mercedes. Very nice stuff as long as you trade it in before 36,000 miles.
Thousands of them sitting near our ports a while back. Along side of the thousands of Audi’s
All waiting to be deported because they all got caught lying their asses off to cheat and pass EPA mileage standards and US Emissions standards.

On principle alone my ass will never even sit in a Volkswagen.

“Volkswagen was caught lying about emissions in the "Dieselgate" scandal, starting in 2015, by installing "defeat device" software in millions of diesel vehicles to cheat on U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) emissions tests, making cars appear cleaner during tests than they were in real-world driving, leading to massive fines, buybacks, criminal charges, and guilty pleas from the company and employees for fraud and Clean Air Act violations.”

^36k miles... nahhhh... the '17 gasser Jetta I just gave to my son so I could get my Lobo is still going strong at 80k+ miles (with 10K oil changes) and many more to come. My '04 TDI Golf (which guessing the majority age group of this forum would be digging a car getting ~50mpg -- more so. the wagons were awesome). The TDi forums were just as enjoyable as this one, lots of people learning stuff. My '94 gasser Fox had well over 120K miles but I wanted a Golf. I only bailed on the Golf cause the body started to give out and it developed electrical issues. The TDi engine pulled so strong. The oil filter was right up front, it was so easy to change, especially with a hand VacPump. Oil analysis showed almost no wear going 10k intervals with Mobil 1 TDT that wasn't spec'd (by VW) for the engine.

Yes the scandal sucked and VW was giving away cars right afterwards. I think the Jetta only set me back only $19k.

Guaranteed you guys would have loved a TDi. A basic tune was so much more fun to drive and even better mileage!

Good luck with the Atlas.

That being said I love the Lobo. Sport mode is soooo much fun. Makes me never want to try Eco again! pew! I'm with Cherokee and the rest of the forum, these are great little trucks. Just wish it was a manual trans.

Good Choice. Wife and I had many VWs, all of which were fun to drive and reliable. The Cross Sport will be our next car when we go down to one vehicle which is probably a year away. My current 2025 Maverick Tremor is the best vehicle I could possibly own and will be extremely difficult to part with. She has an Audi Q3 and similarly she will not want to give up. We are at the stage of retirement where two vehicles don't make sense.
