I recently purchased some TPMS off eBay (moresensor) for a new set of wheels and tires. Had the wheels and tires balanced with the sensors installed a local tire shop.

First day (Sunday) of driving it - short distance (2mi roundtrip) the Maverick picked up the sensors a few minute after the drive, showing 33-34 psi per tire (my gauge was at 35psi). The next day (Monday) was fine as well - showing 33-35 psi per tire, though I did briefly get a TPMS warning in my FordPass app. Today (Tuesday), the car no longer is able to pick up any readings from the tires.

Is there any relearn procedure? I ordered a generic TPMS19 tool off Amazon today and might try that if the Maverick doesn't self-learn and pick up the sensors again.

I have had 2 different sets of TPMS other than the stock Ford. The Maverick(S) picked them up without a problem and have never had a problem since. When I traded in the Blue AWD, I put the factory Steelies back on and it worked like a charm. The Sensors I purchased were generic 315mh off of ebay for like $20. Sorry you are having trouble with yours. Best of luck! 🤟

Damn.. I wish I would have seen the $20 ones as opposed to pay 3x ($60) for somewhat branded from Moresensor. I saw a forum member mention no issues and a Amazon review that someone used it with their Maverick and no issues... So I decided to spend the extra money hoping there wasn't any issues with it.

Unless my local tire shop didn't install the new TPMS... which I honestly cannot tell after they put the new tires on it and I wasn't watching them do it. I just gave them the old wheels that had old tires on it, new tires (Michelin Defender2), and a box of TPMS and told them I wanted it mounted and balance.

I just put Defender LTX M/S 235/60/18 on my Hybrid. Love them! Always had good luck with them.
I know the Defender 2 replaced the LTX. (but they lost the Mud & Snow rating)

Interestingly - this morning 3 of the 4 tires shows up (ranging from 33-35psi)... only the rear left isn't showing up.

Are you sure that's the tires that are currently on your vehicle? I mean new one? Your vehicle receiver probably picking up old sensors.... Since you probably did not calibrated them

Relearn Procedure

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. Then, press and release the brake pedal.

2. Cycle the ignition switch from the OFF position to the RUN position three times, ending in the RUN position.

3. Press and release the brake pedal.

4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

5. Turn the ignition switch from the OFF position to the RUN position three times, ending in the RUN position. The horn will sound once and the indicator will flash if the training mode has been entered successfully. If equipped, the message center will display “TRAIN LF TIRE.”

6. It may take up to six seconds to activate a tire pressure sensor. Do not wait more than two minutes between training each sensor or the process will time out and the entire procedure must be repeated.

7. Starting with the left side/drivers front tire, press and release the test button on the TPMS tool. The horn will sound briefly to indicate that the tire pressure sensor has been recognized by the vehicle.

8. Within two minutes of the horn sounding, repeat the process with the right front tire pressure sensor.

9. Repeat these steps for the right rear and then left rear tires.

10. The procedure is completed after the last tire has been trained. When the training procedure is complete, the message center (if equipped) will display “TIRE TRAINING COMPLETE.”

How far will the receiver reach? The garage vs driveway that the Maverick is parked at is pretty far...

And how would you calibrate? I'm still waiting for the generic TPMS19 tool I purchased from Amazon to arrive in order to "train" the TPMS sensors.

While possible, unlikely, as most modern TPMS sensors are "off" until the tire is spinning in order to conserve battery life. The logic is that you don't need it to keep updating the pressure every few minutes while sitting in the garage overnight (or for a long weekend).

Tried that method - didn't work. How can one confirm if there's a TPMS installed on the wheel or not besides removing the tire?

I also tried the TPMS19 tool and that didn't work, but that's more of a hit or miss based on reviews... Might have to try another TPMS tool.
Fwiw my truck wouldn’t learn the sensors using the hazard method. I needed to use the brake / key cycle mentioned above in post 9.
