I think that Toyota is missing a lot of the selling points of the Mav, with a lifted truck that makes it hard to get into, limited range and the stupidly long recharge time that they are becoming famous for,
It's actually almost an inch and a half shorter height-wise than a Maverick. And there's no range/charge times since it's a concept. But you can continue to make up reasons you don't want to like it because "Grrr, EV bad!"

It looks hideous , but you can use backseat area like avalanche has . Still would be pass for me unless it was priced really well with 300 range at least .

EDIT: Turns out I did not look hard enough a few postings on here already for it*

Just came across this news article and do not appear to see anything posted about it yet on MTC. Looks to be pretty official via Toyota but with vagueness as well, with the strong possibility that it does not get built. But potential to put pressure on Ford/others to make a small EV Truck showing they have one lined up.

They do state that it is "roughly 199" long" which is exactly the same length of the Maverick...so who knows. But again still technically a concept, but possibly the small pickup they could build.

I’d be onboard with hybrid verison and design little more like truck that what that concept looks like

Saw a Cybertruck in LA a couple weeks ago and it was gross.

If getting into the Mavericks market is the desire then Toyota would need to develop something off the rav4 hybrid platform and maybe take away some of the good ideas behind this concept. I like some of the features like the midgate but not feasible for Toyota to pull this vehicle off as an EV in the next 5 years. Or they would need to do EV as an option to one of their larger trucks but that would not compete with the Mavericks target audience.
