Doesn't just hitting the + sign on the backup screen do effectively the same thing? It does in my F-150 and makes it look like you are looking right down at the ball.

Forgive me if this is widely known, but today I discovered if you put the tailgate in the 1/2 open position the reverse camera perfectly centers over the tow hitch making lining up a trailer much easier! Just thought i'd share this discovery

it may have been just serendipity. shout out to the Mav design team if this was intentional on their part. although i supect that the 1/2 open tailgate's position may have had more to do with the need to facilitate the transport of 4x8 sheets of plywood & such in the shortish Mav bed.

Dont have my Maverick yet, its being built this week but on my Ranger all I do is hit the + symbol on the screen and the camera looks right at the hitch making it super easy to line up.

Have you had any problems because your bumper step covers your license plate? Someone in another thread mentioned he got stopped for it. I have one too and no problems so far.

Neat! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a reviewer on YT mention this. As a soon to be first truck owner this is helpful. Guessing this is tribal knowledge for all the long time truck people

Most trucks have a button to adjust camera angles/zoom for trailer work, including the Mav. But I believe the Mav is the only truck currently with the two-position tailgate.

While the "half-up" position may improve the camera trailer view, the camera adjust buttons will basically accomplish the same thing, without risking damage to the T/G. Might be an advantage in certain situations, but again, take care that the T/G is clear of any obstruction on the trailer.

Approaching 2 yrs of ownership, discovered this week the arrow underneath both front windshield sun screens. You can slide the sun screens to the right or left to block the sun. My Honda Element had this and it was very handy when driving into bright sun.

In an earlier post, I said I would "like" your post if your suggestion worked. It did and I just gave you a "like"!! I have a crank lift with a wheel on my trailer so I can move the front of the trailer left and right. Just a matter of being back enough. This helps a lot.

Mine has the 4k tow package and if I hit the plus sign on the top right of my screen, the camera switches to the hitch for me. nice feature!!

Thanks for sharing. Sometimes the most obvious escapes scrutiny. I for one had not thought of this. This is worthy of laurels rather than forgiveness.
