Just got the notice for the VEC sticker recall. Basically the existing VEC sticker doesn’t list something so they need to pop the hood and put on a new sticker.

“less than half a day but possibly longer”

does anyone actually drop their vehicle at dealer for this? Lol
Ask for a loaner 😀

Wow. I took mine in last week and was done in half a day! The one thing I did find out is that when I took in Mar 8th to check for airbag recall they said could be 6 wks before they got the airbags. I said it took 13 months to get truck, I could wait. They gave me business card with local Nashville phone #. I called 3 times over 5 months. I called last week to ask if airbags in and set up oil change. He said "Oh, looks like your airbags are in should have your name on, I'll Check. Came back said "No, they're someone elses', maybe in next shipment Sept 15". When I go in the next day for oil change (which I was also told they have separate drive up bay for oil changes just go anytime till 4pm). Dealer says that's not true having seperate bay for oil changes and we're swamped today. I ask about airbag recall. He said we have some in, called parts dept to confirm (who I was supposed to be talking to at my dealership). Here's the kicker ---- the business cards are given a local number but is really one of several call centers nationwide. So all my previous phone calls had been to a call center who does not know what is going on at the dealerships. So the poor people at dealerships get angry customers given incorrect information on a daily basis!!!
