Undercover armor tonneau here . $920 from realtruck about 18 months ago . Works well for me . I wanted 3 fold up that didn't rest against cab . Has rods ( one on each side )that holds 3 panels up . Very secure when closed .

General question. My first priority is how well a cover prevents leakage. Realizing that no cover is waterproof, would it be safe to say that a soft one piece roll up provides better water protection than a tri-fold? Or a hard cover roll up? I have tried two hard cover tri folds and both have leaked badly.

Part of this is the unibody construction that has no gap between the bulkhead and the cab. Leaks from the bulk head then run down the rails and across the bed as the water follows the tri fold seams. I am willing to give up some security for dryness. What are your general thoughts on which type cover is best for this?

The only place my hard folding (BAK BAKFlip MX4) tonneau leaks at all is at the rear corners, which is actually the tailgate leaking. I need to add those tailgate seals.

BTW... I live in upstate NY (not the desert).

Just bought & installed this waterproof tonneau from ebay and it's EXCELLENT it just rained and not a drop of water in the bed! Affordable at $137 too and looks pretty good! Check it out...

Did you lay down some weatherstripping before putting on the cover? I’ve got a soft roll up and it leaks like a sieve.

Yes the stripping comes with the cover... the stripping I installed each side of tailgate and also bottom of tailgate so 3 pieces. Also you need to lineup the top of tonneau corectly where the window meets the bed (friend helped me). Will add some weatherstripping pics...

Looks great, and I love the load capacity on top of it. I ordered my Maverick yesterday, been looking for a hard tonneau cover that provides tie down capability. I installed bed rails on my previous trucks, but not finding those for a Maverick and I'm guessing they might look odd given the short bed. I'll circle back in a few months to see how satisfied you are with your setup if you don't mind. Congrats!

I just ordered this one. I normally never use a tonneau, but my air topper looks funny for ride share, and didn't want an expensive option. This should work well for daily use.
