Just watched the video. Not sure if you have sat in the Mav or not, but that is not a maverick.
yes, I have sat in every seat of a trainer Maverick and had a lengthy test drive in a retail unit at my dealer. I just assumed since the video was attached to a link about the model for the Maverick, that is was the video shown. Didn't bother to scrutinize vehicle interior and it was a side angle with no obvious clues it wasn't a Maverick.

Can you briefly describe where your module was installed in your Mav? Under dashboard or ?

Maybe it comes from being a pilot for 30 years, but I find it interesting that so many people are disturbed by this "feature." When you get into an airplane or a car there are certain things you must do every time. In a vehicle a perfect example would be that you have to fasten your seat belt. Disabling this annoying stop/start function just means that after you start the engine, the next thing you would do, out of habit, before putting the tranny in gear, is to reach down and pop that shut-off switch. It takes an extra two seconds and after a while you won’t even think about it. Yes, it angers me that they even require me to accept this stupid kludge on my vehicle, but I am just grateful that they at least provide a switch to disable it. I won’t be surprised if the next gen eliminates the switch!
I would agree with you about it becoming automatic procedural if this was my only vehicle. I have a Jeep and a Ford E450 RV and my wife's Subaru- and none have that. Our F-150 does have it and it takes getting used to disabling it again each time we switch cars. To me it's just more Nanny tech that should be an "opt in" feature instead of standard with no opt-out from Ford.

I took the Mav to WV to have them test their Auto Stop / Start eliminator. Now its available for all. Works great, no more pushing the damn button.

Very easy to install!

Autostop Eliminator for the 2022 Ford Maverick
I have been emailing Jessica over there for the last couple weeks. She said someone from last week canceled and someone else was bringing their Maverick in this week. I guess that was you. I am ordering mine now.

I think they make it standard to help meet EPA ratings?

Am I the only one that doesn’t really care about it?
Nope, it doesn't bother me. But my use case is "retail warrior", not a work truck in Texas, for example. I understand why some people don't like it.

The first time I was in a car with this auto stop/start feature I was annoyed, however, over time I got use to it and am happy to see the increase in time between tank fills as well as helping the environment. If I want the car to stay running, I just lift my foot off the break a little to trigger it back on, no issues.

Every single car that I'm aware of with this feature has it on by default, and makes it extremely hard to permanently turn off. The EPA will only test with it on if its on by default, and it does make a significant difference in MPG. It should be smart enough to not turn off the engine if the temperature is too hot or cold inside, etc but these systems are often pretty dumb. That said, if you want another way to turn it off (other than pressing the button), you can put it in sport.

Stop-Start is NOT a safety feature. Don't compare it to safety features or use justify it as a crutch to help you remember to do the basics like fastening your safety belt. Can you imagine your plane turning on and off on the runway or god forbid, in the air for the sole purpose of saving fuel?

All I’m referring to is developing a habitual procedure to make the unwanted presence of this mechanism as painless as possible. It has nothing to do with safety. It’s just another method of making these remaining ICE vehicles more fuel efficient, just like the awful GDI injection system. I don’t want either one, and am a possible candidate for the device being talked about here myself. I don’t expect drivers to have to adapt to driving habits the way pilots have to adapt to procedures that WOULD be dangerous to ignore in an aircraft, but the two share similarities in that if you repeat processes often enough they just become routine. BTW, thanks for the detailed info on just how this mechanism operates. I have not seen any detailed descriptions on how it works in practice. And it’s also good to hear that it actually does save fuel!
