Ya I'm still adjusting to the dial, but it also gives better clearance when reaching for the cup holder. [That's how I justify it to friends who make fun of the dial!]I prolly shoulda also said I have the habit of setting the parking brake in all parked situations, so for me, doesn't matter dial or not. It is "get in-shut door-start engine-release brake/press disable button-put in gear". Ya know, "Get your motor runnin; Head out on the highway; Lookin' for adventure; In whatever comes my way."
But, I must admit, I would prefer a lever and not a dial AND the ability to select some gears like I can with my 2003 Grand Cherokee which includes being able to disable the OD when I am doing no more that 45 for some distance.
