I would imagine that could be turned off with Forscan? I don't know but I'll give it a try once I get mine.

One would think, but no it cannot be.

funny the advertising on package says

Forget about the hacks. This is a real solution!
  • Easy 100% plug-and-play installation into the gateway module
  • Installs without removing any screws or panels.

yet the accompanying video shows the center console panel pulled away from dashboard to install the new pigtail, and then reattaching the center console panel. Maybe it's held on with Velco instead of screws or something?

Not sure what video you are watching, I watched him install it and NO PANELS REMOVED!

It looks like the guys in F150 forums have found a "hack" that disables auto start-stop for their MY21s. It is a kludgey method, imo, but no external hardware required. Not sure if it will work on Maverick.

I took the Mav to WV to have them test their Auto Stop / Start eliminator. Now its available for all. Works great, no more pushing the damn button.

Very easy to install!

Autostop Eliminator for the 2022 Ford Maverick
I rented a Ranger this past weekend. At the first stop light the engine died. I cussed and went to hit the gas to hopefully keep it running. That's when I realized what was happening. I've never driven a vehicle that had this feature. Not sure I like it and was pondering if I'll be able to bypass it.

Just watched the video. Not sure if you have sat in the Mav or not, but that is not a maverick.

On my 2020 Jeep you can unplug the small wire that comes directly off the battery. It’s not one of the main cables, it’s a small gauge, 3rd wire that monitors the voltage when the car turns off. If you unplug that wire from the battery the auto stop/start feature is turned off. I think I saw a video where someone did that successfully to the Mav.
Can someone try it? I don’t have my Mav yet.

Maybe it comes from being a pilot for 30 years, but I find it interesting that so many people are disturbed by this "feature." When you get into an airplane or a car there are certain things you must do every time. In a vehicle a perfect example would be that you have to fasten your seat belt. Disabling this annoying stop/start function just means that after you start the engine, the next thing you would do, out of habit, before putting the tranny in gear, is to reach down and pop that shut-off switch. It takes an extra two seconds and after a while you won’t even think about it. Yes, it angers me that they even require me to accept this stupid kludge on my vehicle, but I am just grateful that they at least provide a switch to disable it. I won’t be surprised if the next gen eliminates the switch!
