My first Maverick was ordered in June 2021, it was first scheduled for production the week of October 4th. Took delivery in mid January 2022. That's 3 months from original production date to delivery. Oh well.

You can whine online, and call your dealer 100 times and check with Ford CS every single day. It won't get in your driveway 1 second faster.

I haven't been waiting nearly as long as you have, but I definitely feel this. Mine was built around the same time as yours and took 16 days to switch over to 'shipped'. Now I complain to my wife every morning that my truck was unloaded a week ago and is sitting in a train yard 3 hours away still, but I suppose I don't have it nearly as bad as others that have been waiting 10x longer.

But hey - its nearly Friday, hope you get some good news soon and enjoy the weekend!

Waited 443 days, wish it dragged out till 500, haha. My old Subie is running just fine. ;) 3 weeks since the wait ended but again, Spring would have been ideal vs. January.

All right, what follows is a has been patient Ford customer, who has had it with Fords communication. This complaint is in regards to shipping, not the vehicle itself. I'm still waiting to get my order, which was in Oct 2021. Can't complain about a vehicle I'm still waiting for. Certainly hope it is worth the wait. This rant concerns shipping and Fords lack of communication. So here I go on my little rant.

I call Ford Customer Service (FCS) every once in awhile and also my dealer weekly. I also view the Ford Customer Order Status page daily. Last update for this page was Feb 14th. That page shows my Maverick was built January 30th and NO shipping info.

Both FCS and my dealer advised me my vehicle was built January 12th and 14th. With that information, I just assume the vehicle went into production on the 12th and “built” (completed) on the 14th. I will go with this information and disregard the 30th of January, as provided by the Ford Customer Order Status page. What is interesting, on the Ford Status page there is a statement that says the following: "Your vehicle has been built and we are arranging shipment to your dealer. This step could take a few days to a week.” Even if I went with the built date of the 30th of January, then that would make the ETA around February 6th. So considering my vehicle was actually built Jan 14th, then ETA should have been around January 21st. It hasn't even left the factory yet!

I was given an ETA earlier from my dealer of Feb 15th. FCS told me Feb 19th on Monday Feb 13th. Todays call (2/16) to FCS they now advise me ETA March 16th and that my Maverick is still sitting at the factory, what my dealer also told me.

I have been reading of individuals on this forum that placed their orders in Sept 22 and are starting to receive their orders now. True, many if not all of those Sept orders are ICE and not hybrid. The point I’m trying to bring out is that their vehicles get produced and SHIPPED pretty quickly. So I have information that my vehicle was built Jan 14th and remains at the factory, pending shipping. Going with the ETA date of March 16 provided today from FCS, means a two (2) MONTH shipping period. That is totally unacceptable!

If by chance Ford discovered a problem with the vehicle during the final check or has learned of issues that need to be addressed before shipping, then by all means let FCS and the dealership know and letting the customer know would also be nice. I can deal with that a least. I wouldn’t be happy about it but certainly knowing what the hold up is would help me be somewhat understanding. So here I sit now at 496 days since my original order and all I have to go on is knowing that my Maverick is “built” and is sitting in the Mexican desert pending shipping.

Surely there has to be someone at Ford that can be contacted to find out what is going on? Am I the only one in this situation? My dealer has received and delivered many Mavericks to date. What's the hold up on my shipping? March 16th for an ETA is unacceptable! OK, I'm finished venting. I do feel a tiny bit better letting out some steam. I will now move my vote in the "time to receive" poll from the 400 club over into the 500 club. ☹
I know, I know. I'm an October '21 order myself and just picked mine up last weekend. And yes, it is worth the wait, I'm loving it.
I went through the same process like you with the shitty communication, cancellations and conversion, the missing private offer, et al. But it took a week and a half to ship and now I'm pretty happy. It helped that I watched the Ford Video Guy live chats on Tuesday evenings and saw my dealer a lot. Yeah there were times I doubted I'd ever see it but my SUV is in good shape and I had the luxury of time. So keep in touch and catch Tim Bartz on Tuesday night and keep your dealer honest by seeing him a lot.

Actually, I wanted to miss the salt season myself. My Buick is like new and I was doing fine. I got behind a damn salt truck an hour ago in the snow.

Ordered - 9/16/22
Built - 12/3/22
Shipped - 12/6/22

Still waiting for delivery. 75 days in shipping. Dealer says their tracking app showed it entered the US on 12/9/22. The app now shows it in Portland, Oregon. No other information available.

Ford has plenty of problems and shipping is one they need to address. On the other hand I had a good conversation with my salesman about this. He also says this has to change but until the shift to ordering instead of buying off the lot it was never a problem. They never knew when a vehicle was going to arrive and didn't care. Salesman's job was to check inventory and sell what was on the lot. No need for tracking at all.

Things have changed in the sales process and shipping will have to change as well. But that might double or triple the delivery cost.

This lack of communication arrises from the simple FACT that FoMoCo has little to NO control over individual, franchise dealers.

Dealers order and sell, zero communication during the process.

FoMoCo need to reel in dealers and hold them accountable for more stringent customer service requirements, if they ever want to go to a customer order model.

While I agree, Ford is not in a position to reel in dealers. In many states the dealers have the upper hand. It is a difficult position at best. Ford is (I think) aware and trying but the antiquated dealer system is not going to go away easily.

This is horrible and there is no way you should have to go thru such crap. I think Ford needs to hire a top notched communications director and let people know what is going on. My favorite thing to do these days is to figure out what FORD means. In your case it is Forget Our Recent Declarations.
I think one of the problems Ford has is too many people. I just heard that Ford has more engineers per car than anyone else. That's the problem with an older company they just keep hiring to "fix" things.

Ordered 11/4/2021 XLT 2.0EB FWD. CP360 was the only constraint item and left order unchanged. All weather floor mats and a hitch were the only other options. According to Ford email delivery to Danville, KY dealer 2/22 -2/28/23 which makes that 16 months. Frustration over long ship duration is understandable. During the long wait we have seen finance rates increase as have the price of accessories. Your patience will pay off, salute.
UPDATE::: Received call from dealer this morning that they were inspecting and detailing my Maverick. Picking up at noon tomorrow Feb 18th - 1 week earlier than expected. 🥳 469 days - wishing all as much fortune on your order.

Considering all the crap and the horrendous time frame; I'd recon that you post was the most civil one I have even seen. Not sure that I would not be cursing a blue streak by now!!

Mine was also built 01/12/23. Tracking site updated yesterday, but still showed waiting shipping. Today updated agin and is shipped estimated delivery date is end of March. Very flawed tracking system.

Well, at least you are in New Mexico, so once your truck DOES ship, it shouldn’t take too long to arrive from Old Mexico.

Our XLT EB was built 12/01/2021.

Original ETA for delivery to dealer was 1/01 - 1/07/2023. (Shipping across the country to northeast Pennsylvania.)

BUT ... It didn’t actually get on a train until 1/02/2023. So that was a full month after build, just sitting around.

Finally arrived at the dealership 2/02/2023.

So it was very exciting when we learned it had been built … But a two-month wait after that to see it.

SHIPPED: Notice in Tracker 01/02/2023

UPDATED ETA: 2/12 to 2/18/3023.

Ford's tracking involves ridiculous lack of updating. What is worse, the day before mine shipped, all the checks disappeared, and it went back to only "Order Confirmed" having a checkbox (on 2/9/23). The next morning, all checks were back, and it was marked as shipped 2/10/23. The design of the tracking database is terrible, confusing, frustrating and inaccurate...to be kind. I think I will see the truck around the 480-day mark.
I just picked up my Maverick from the dealer three hours ago and this is what the tracker sight says:

As I've said before it is not just a Ford problem. Most car manufacturers are like this. Several years ago I helped Jeep Wrangler customers determine what was happening with their orders. For one order customer service said it was shipped but they can't see where shipped orders are, the dealer said it was almost to the railhead. But no vehicle appeared. Two weeks later we found it was still sitting at the factory.
Another vehicle was shipped and finally made it to the railhead (from the Toledo Ohio plant to Tennessee) but it sat there for three weeks. Dealer wasn't allowed to go get it. Talked to my contact and a truck was there next day to get it. Contact said they were in the business of building vehicles and have very limited control over dealers (because of state franchise laws) or the transportation process.
It is an industry issue. The only quick way to get it faster is to be related to Farley.
