If you mean Long McArthur, you probably have a good chance of being scheduled soon.

If you mean Granger, good luck to you.

Both of these dealers are active on this board.

Thank you for that. NEXT!

Seeing that Hybrids only got their OKTB date in late November, you really only have been waiting a couple of months.
I too don't understand when members here say they've been waiting since June. No you've been waiting since Late August when production began. Then factor in the 2 months it would have taken to get a September build to your dealer, you really are only 2 or 3 months overdue. Not bad really for a company dealing with COVID, labor shortages, supply chain disruptions, transportation shortages. Now I do understand the frustration of Hybrid orders being delayed until November and taking a back seat to Ecos. But what can you do? Cry, pout, throw a temper tantrum? Sure. If it makes you feel good.

Everyone that ordered a truck will get their truck. We as orderers, have to be patient or become a patient.🤪

Well, it gets pretty annoying when orders made months after yours are getting scheduled for build or even delivered. My June order was scheduled last week (for March 7th, then changed to March 28th); I will not feel bad stating I waited an entire year for my truck.

Ford said they'd sell me a truck, and then proceeded to do a bunch of buffoonery that is well-recorded all over this site. The ordering process is stupid. The communication is grossly insufficient for what consumers expect these days. They were also completely taken by surprise that people wanted this. They universally overpromised in terms of timeliness, production capacity, price, and more. They seem apathetic to producing the thing and even stated they'll deprioritize it in favor of other products when things get tight. So, people have plenty of reasons to be cross with Ford right now. If there were a competing product, I'd be taking my business there if they were any better.

Ford botches the introduction of a new (and very desirable) vehicle?

This is nothing new. Ford has been doing this for decades; they are horrible at new vehicle introduction. How many times has this happened with the terribly important and often updated F-150? I can't count. What about the new Bronco's roof? The great 2002 T-Bird was long delayed, overpriced and failed because Ford did a poor job of planning the introduction and understanding the market for the exclusive car. My own long wait for a newly introduced model ('97 F-150) was due to factory scheduling; I was angry at the long wait but it did not really adversely affect me.

Ford's gonna be Ford. If you want this Maverick and are new to Ford vehicles - get used to it. This is the way Ford should be expected to operate. The vehicles are usually great but boy can this company foul up introduction and infuriate customers.

So, in short, this is not unique to Maverick; it should be expected from Ford. The situation will not improve over the short term with the Maverick; they'll do something similar with the next big thing too.

Yeah...I'm looking forward to stories about the Lightning rollout. Should be a wakeup call to Ford that people expect them to be awful, but Ford is more focused on making me happy as a shareholder than making me happy as a customer.

There is no crying, pouting or throwing of tantrums. I am taking my money elsewhere. Others have stated it better than I have - Ford botched the introduction of a new product. And their prioritization sucks.

Production actually didn't even begin till September 15, IIRC. So I don't think anything before that should be counted as you can't take delivery of something where it has not even been built.

As for taking your money elsewhere, that's your prerogative. I often suggest that to people unhappy with the order process on the forum. If your wants/needs are variable and another car that is currently available fits them, by all means that is what you should do.

For me, personally - and I believe many of us here on the forums - there is no other vehicle that comes close to the combination you get with the Maverick Hybrid. From price, to efficiency, to utility.. it is a very unique vehicle in today's world and there is nothing that I can buy right now that would be anywhere close to the same thing. So I wait.

Been a 185 days (July 29, 2021) since I placed my order. No updates since the original order and of course not yet scheduled for production. No updates from dealer and phone calls to Ford are met with.. "Call you dealer". Add to that looks like prices went up.

I was excited for my first Ford vehicle. But looks like that is not going to happen. Really disappointed in the way Ford has handled this.

I'll give it three more weeks to receive the "scheduled for production" email. That should take me through the middle of February. If nothing heard, the dealer can keep the truck and sell it to some sucker for 5K over sticker.

I'll stick to a trusted brand like Subaru, Honda or Toyota.
I totally understand and ordered Ecoboost, so not hybrid, so I looked at Ridgeline and Subaru Forester yesterday. I’m not waiting as long as you, but I watched very similar builds ordered months after mine getting built. Only thing I don’t see on the builds are Factory mud flaps.. all else on recent builds. Just very frustrating.

It seems to me that if you’re willing to order a brand new model with this much interest, you better be willing to wait. If you need it now, find something on a dealer lot, Maverick or not.

I'd put a tuscon hybrid blue at the top of that list.

Subaru dealers cant get new vehicles either, Our Forester has been at the dealer for 3 weeks waiting on parts. What they are getting in are customer ordered and definatly not giving any deals or discounts. Take a look at the subaru forums it will look a lot like this one in that respect.
