I loved the imagery and sound of "chirp the tires", but in all seriousness, can the tires be 'chirped' in either/both of the Maverick engine versions? Picking my Hybrid up in a few hours [400 days from Order to Drive-off, for those keeping tracks of such things...] and with this potential option, chirping the tires in the big ( mostly empty) lot on the way out would be memorable, at least for me.

Don't think the Hybrid can break the front wheels free on dry pavement (but the tryin' will be fun...)
Traction control OFF!

The hybrid can chirp the tires just a little bit.

This happened to me yesterday. Here in Asheville we get tons of tourists who are lost and making bad panic decisions at the wheel. So a right turn from the left lane is pretty normal here. Turning signals? What are those?

A few years ago I witnessed an accident a bit like this at an interstate exit. There was one travel lane at a 4-way with a big shoulder on the right. Person in the travel lane had no signal. Another driver pulled up on the right shoulder to turn right, and the guy in the travel lane turned right into him. I'd love to know who was assigned fault for that one. Betcha the guy in the travel lame swore to the trooper his signal was on. I was a bad citizen and didn't stick around as a witness.
I feel this. I also live in a touristy small town. Local knowledge of the danger zones is key. I'll never understand people who mess around like this in the same zip code as a big truck. You'll lose. Every time.

Driving to vote early I was waiting in the turn lane and when traffic opened a dump truck style garage truck full past the rails cut me off from the main lanes. I laid on the horn and when he hit the high point on the entry ramp he must have thought he hit me. He slammed on the brakes and his load shifted bad. He was shaking on exit from truck

Guess for once I thanked the long delay from auto hold brakes. Kept me from moving just enough to not be hit trying to turn at same time.

I'm in the Orlando area so I see bad drivers all day long whether its Floridian or tourists. I always hate the people that cut across three rows of traffic to get to the turn lane because they are going to miss a turn and "God forbid I wait for the next light or U-turn to turn around"
As I told my granddaughter about learning to drive; "80% of safe driving is anticipating what the other guy might do."

I ALWAYS wait and look at intersecting traffic before proceeding through a turned green light. Too often would see some moron running the light.

The person who took the video was not a kind/great driver either. It’s true the Mav driver wasn’t driving great and turned his blinker on late (lost maybe?) but a little kindness would have let him in and a little anticipation would have seen what was happening and Given more space.

Hybrids can squeal the tire. Just not very far. Turn full one way or the other and punch it. It happens all the time turning off the main road to my house. Have to jump on it because nobody will let you go.
And if you want to talk about bad drivers, I've driven in NY City for over 30 years, with a tractor trailer no less, and they must think cars grow on trees or something the way a lot of them drive. My favorite one is when they come flying past you because they don't want to be behind the truck then slam on their brakes to turn on the street you are just about to pass. Good thing I have respect for the vehicle I drive for work. And no accidents that were my fault in those 30 years too!

Yup, I'm always looking around me. I'll see something and say to myself "Watch this dumbass cut in front of me" and sure enough!

We turn across traffic into a government building narrow entrance together. He was still moving naturally at lower speed to turn. Maverick was stopped in the middle of the 4 lane road in the turn lane. Was away from traffic lights.

My neighborhood has a bunch of traffic circles. They are CLEARLY marked as "one way" (counter-clockwise) and have yield signs for the roads entering the circle. There are even nice "arrow" signs clearly showing that you must merge into the traffic circle, then exit at one of the other streets... Simple, right? Not so fast!

Twice recently, we've seen an idiot driving a Jeep turn left into the oncoming circle traffic, pass to the left of the lane divider for the street he was turning into (the left lane from his perspective, but actually the oncoming traffic lane of the 2-lane road). He not only went head-on with the traffic already in the circle, but head-on into the oncoming traffic of the divided road he turned into. Had to go head-on with that traffic for a 1/2 block before the divider ended so he could get over into the "right" (correct) lane. And never once let off the throttle... Actually flipped off the car in front of me that honked at him! Amazing...
