I drive my Maverick maybe once week on average. I believe it happens most times I approach the vehicle with the key.I can't witness other people's conditions but if you drove, parked, then re-approached your Mav within 30 minutes, you may be hearing a power down sequence by coincidence and interpret that as the vehicle detected you approaching.
But, we all need further evidence. Thanks.
P.S. If it were due to the key, it should be reproducible every single time. Right?
Every time? I won't commit to that, but I do think the vehicle has a long (multiday) power down sequence.
Only once, after about 10 days, mine has gone into "deep sleep," which would probably end the proximity response.
