Lotta stupid people hanging out on sites like Jalopnik and such who argue that "The maverick could be even smaller with a two door cab and a slightly longer bed". Yeah, but it wouldn't sell well. I assume some are being facetious, but others seem genuine.
That's why so many people buy 2 door Rangers

Yep. My dad still has his 2003 Ranger and loves it. His 2018 F150 sits in the driveway most days. He'll get an offer to buy the Ranger once a month or so.

It's just so much easier to drive/park, and still gets the job done on trips to home depot. The F150 is for camping or boat hauling, which is few and far between these days.

Ah, nice! Same here. Dad's got a 2011 4x4 Ranger and he will not part with it. He took a ride in my Maverick and said "Nice truck!" and I asked if he wanted to upgrade from his Ranger and he laughed. "Way too many buttons and screens in here!" :)

East coast though, so the rust will finish off the Ranger sooner than later.

You see pictures like this, then you sit in the Mav, it seems to defy physics! No way it should feel as roomy as it is! 😲
Exactly!

From what I understand, the Maverick is about the same size as the Ranger inside.

I've had mine over a year and really love it!

Maybe the picture is deceiving, but, how are you supposed to get out of that parking spot? 😲
It's a bit of the angle and a bit of reality. They're tight spots length-wise. If you go down streetview (south side of Boston Common), you can see an F-150 and a Transit 250 that are line-to-line in length.

You just thought to yourself, that's what she said, be honest. I can't believe there are people out there who think the maverick is too big, it can't really get smaller. That's what she said.

One of my son's has a Toyota Tundra with 8 foot bed. He says his Toyota is a Tonka Toy compared to the Maverick which he calls the Match Box.

A buddy got his '23 a few weeks ago - had him bring it over to do a test fit in my garage. It fit but the antenna pod on top of the roof hit the garage door bottom edge when driving it in, so I will have to move the up limit so the up position will raise a couple of inches when my '24 arrives.
They sell a stubby/shorter antenna aftermarket

I thought the Maverick would’ve been a smaller truck in the vein of the 80s compact trucks, like my Dad’s 85 Nissan 720 King Cab pickup or his last truck a 93 Ranger regular cab/short bed.

An interesting observation. The day I got the Mav home, parked it next to our 04 Grand Cherokee WJ and apart from the Mav being more than a foot longer than the WJ, the two vehicles are identical in width and height. Only the WJ was classified as a “midsize” SUV back then, yet the Mav is “compact” in relation to its Ranger and F-Series brothers but it’s anything but compact inside the cab.

Even with it's larger bed my S-10 felt much smaller than my XL. The Maverick's higher driver position, wider hood and expansive view of the road which I really enjoy could be a reason.

If you think that's bad, you should see parking in Boston in the winter. Boston is an interesting place to drive any time of the year but winter makes it especially exciting. :)

The whole pod or just the antenna itself? If just the antenna, you can get a shorty antenna.

I would buy a two-door Maverick with a larger cab and longer bed
I gotta have a vehicle with a decent back seat. So if I bought a two-door truck, I'd have to keep my car, too. I don't need or want two vehicles.
