Spending $30k on a new Maverick isn't a bad deal. Comparing it to my 68 Ranchero with an assumed purchase price of $3,000, that's $26k adjusted for inflation. Considering the myriad improvements to automobiles over the last 55 years, it's an outstanding value, IMHO.
I'm looking at $14k by the time my Ranchero resto is complete. Inflation of a different sort.
