How long is a piece of string?

Honestly you could drag this out forever. The 2024 will be better still. The Maverick should hold value quite well. I would not concern myself over this.

I have considered this same question as I only put my order in at the last minute before they closed off the eco boost orders. The thing that keeps me from cancelling and going for a 23 is the potential wait. You think it’s bad waiting for a 22, how much worse is it going to be in 8 months when orders open back up again and there’s a rush to all the dealers to get new orders in? I figure the wait has got to be worse than any benefits of one model year newer.

It really depends on when you plan to sell, but I don’t expect many changes for the 2023 MY. I wouldn’t delay just for future re-sale value.

keep vehicles 5-7 yrs. Usually try to buy early in the model year.

How much sense does it make worrying about resale on a truck you may never receive?

First I gotta get a 22 Maverick. Then I'll enjoy driving it for a while before I worry about how much I can get for it.

BUT, if current market conditions continue, I predict a 22 Maverick will prove to be a very wise purchase.

Unless you're talking about high end, luxury collector cars, I've never understood people who are concerned about a cars resale value, especially from one model year to the next. How you take care of your vehicle is going to matter infinitely more in resale compared to the very next model year (considering that there will not be major design/performance difference between those two particular years, which I highly doubt the Maverick would change very much).

Keep your place "in line" for the 22 and don't worry about the 23.

If the Rattler version was for sure a MY23 option I would probably wait it out- Already been waiting since 9/1 without a build to date- Zero information from my dealer other than NOT agreeing to move me from a Priority 19- Not awesome
