I wonder how that Maverick will be sold? I worked at a Ford Dealer many, many years ago and it wasn't uncommon for new cars to require bodywork when delivered. Not nearly as extreme as yours, but scratches and minor dings from shipping. I think your small reduction in price means they plan to repair it and sell it and quite possible the next owner might never know it was wrecked. I hope not but what else explains such a chump change discount? They are not required to report to car fax to the best of my knowledge.

So sorry that happened.

I personally would not take the repaired one for that small reduction and maybe not at all.

I ordered a new atlas blue, lariat lux, eco, AWD, BAP Maverick on 7/25/23 220 days later on 3/1/24 it was delivered to the dealer, I set up a time at 9am the next day to come buy it and at 8:30am, I got a call that an employee of the dealership was taking it to put gas in it and crashed into a Chevy Blazer driven by another employee in the parking lot.

Broken lariat BAP headlight, upper and lower bumper, side marker, fender, wheel well liner, the fender was pushed into the door, possible damage to the steering components +$6800 estimated damage to invoiced to the dealer.

I put in a new order for another Maverick, same as the one I ordered but I have no idea when it will come in.

Has anyone here had something like this happen to them? was there anyway to contact someone at Ford corporate about expediting the replacement order?
This is so sad I can't believe it happened.

That sucks man. Just wondering if they did fix it "perfectly" for you would it show up on carfax? I wouldn't be afraid of the repair if it was done correctly and they extended the paint warranty. I was afraid of this exact situation when I bought my mach. The salesguy couldn't drive a stick and they let me drive it to the gas station to fill it. Hard to find good help these days. Good luck .hope they make it right for you.
The Sales guy couldn't drive a stick? I must me old. Too damn old. Ok, I don't won't to dismiss those who can't drive a stick, but surely SOMEONE at the dealership knows how to drive a stick shift for the customer!!

Something happened to the wifes in Chicago between getting off the train and onto the transport truck. That was just before Christmas. Her new one is in production starting this Monday the 11th. Hopefully this one makes it.

The real key here are dealer allocations. Do they both have any? Who has more? I believe dealers can put in priority into the single digits which was new when the 2024 Maverick order banks opened. Check with @fordvideoguy for his advice.
Heck, check Tim’s inventory. They offer free shipping.

The dealer in question gave me a priority code of 11, the other dealer I just went to gave me a 10 priority code not sure if it goes lower than a 10.

My dealer ordered mine with a priority code of 03. I later recall reading the lower the number, the faster everything proceeds. My XL AWD was ordered 12/28/23, built 02/28/24 and shipped on 03/07.

Did not happen to me but my sales person and a fellow employee had a collision in their parking lot while she was driving her personal Maverick. I don't know how the expedited replacement actually works but believe that a new order is not required as it would be an emergency rebuild with dealer ordering using vin # of undeliverable vehicle.

I declined the first one.

I did both, ordered one from them and a different dealership, they wouldn't even talk about actual pricing on the damaged one other than all they could only give me off is $1500 to $1800 off to keep it.
even 3000 off for a pre-wrecked one isn't enough. I'd counter offer with something insane to see if they'd go for it but probably for the best to just wait for another at this point. Even if they get it to basically brand new, it'll always have that damage in some way. Sucks for whoever gets it I guess. They may just eat the cost and not report it as having been damaged.

It's on their site as in transit, no mention of the damage, I've never seen it on a carfax before so I'm guessing it is not reported.

It's on their site for sale marked as "in transit" at sticker price

F that. They should hire better employees. I would be so pissed as I imagine you are. That discount off for their employees massive mistake is laughable.

Ford Maverick The dealership crashed my Maverick order. 1710031133332

so $2390.10 in damage.
If the bumpers are not counted, it could be less than 6% for the headlight, liner and fender.
