No kidding, any thief with lock picking skills can open a Club in seconds, it's just a cheap wafer lock.
Nobody will ever bother picking the lock. They will cut the steering wheel with boltcutters or just yank it off with brute force. At best it might make a joyrider look for an easier target but if a professional wants the car, they'll get it. They are like thirty bucks, can't hurt might help.

Ladies and gentlemen good luck all locks do is keep honest people honest🤔

Also beware of the cradle snatching tow trucks they just pick it up and it's gone. In truth if they want your vehicle it's gone sorry to say 😌

A rake pick would have it open way faster than that, 5-10 seconds, no noise or cutters required.

This guy is one of the best lock pickers on the planet and 5-10 seconds was not enough. He even specifically says raking probably won't work. But there are other issues...

I agree that clubs aren't much of an obstacle to a pro regardless. A club might deter a casual thief, a professional will have your car if they want it.

It's almost surprising that the club doesn't have a better core. It's really not that hard to make a pick and rake resistant core with decent warding and security pins or maybe a disk core. What that tells me is that picking is not the major mode of failure.

Here's another LPL video showing a much faster attack. If they want it they will get it. Anyone want to talk more about kill switches?

Ah thanks for this, I have watched LPL many times, guess the newer Club models must have improved.

Hack saw through the steering wheel. Less than a minute. Done and gone.

I get the impression a lot of you guys are young, like 20s young...

Why are you so worried all the time? About everything.
Maybe you spend tooooo much time on the internet?

Seriously, it can't be fun for you or the people around you. The level of hand wringing here is off the charts to me. Of course, I haven't really done social for years, so it is a shock to me coming from a "real life" point of view.

Tranquilo.

Happy New Year?

Install 2 kill switches in 2 different spots. Hook one to fuel pump feed wire, hook the other to your starter relay wire. They may find one, but not the other. Years ago I did this with a 69 charger R/T I had. One was wired to the electronic ignition "spark box" I wired in to ditch the points ignition. the other was wired to the ignition coil. Each switch was in a different spot. You needed both on to start the car. It stayed locked in my garage, and was used on nice days.

You all are amateurs. Us professionals remove the spark plugs whenever parked, and also air down the tires to 3 PSI. ;)

I drop the trans every time I park and watch while they gun the engine in frustration.

If someone wants it, it will be gone no matter what you do. Around 30 years ago a person had a $$$$$ antique car who's ownership was disputed. He kept it in the back corner of a secure building with many other cars. Only way to get the car out was to move several other cars after entering the alarmed building. One day he came home and the car was gone. Nothing else touched and alarm still functional.

I jiggle the cable under the hood, this prevents the truck from re-starting.

Meh, I yank the 100 kWh HVB in my BEV and bring it in the house, keep it under my bed to keep me warm at night.
