Greetings!

I've seen two other posts here about Maverick TFL leaks pooling on top of the transmission from the vented cap. However I haven't seen if there is a solution to this issue or what the common cause is? Sadly the local Ford can't get me into the service department for almost two weeks...

I have pictures attached.

Overfilled from the factory, probably. I have the same issue.

Overfilled, after a few weeks it will stop and not happen anymore.

All the manufacturers seem to struggle with this anymore, over or under-filled. Mine was 1/2 qt low on first service. Hasn't lost an ounce since.

I have been told the problem for some makes was that the trans units are delivered to the line prefilled and once connected to the trans cooling system they were not topped off - some opinions say the manufacturers expected that to happen at pre-delivery but dealers were skipping it. Reason being the time it takes to check the trans fluid level versus the compensated time allowed for the PDI.

Either way, good idea to make sure that level is checked at service intervals

Thanks for all the updates!

Mine was continuing to "leak" for over a week. So just to be safe I took it in... They did confirm it was simply overfilled and washed it down. I'll just continue to keep an eye on it.
