Our 2024 Hybrid exhibits the "grabby brakes below 6mph" issue pretty significantly. I brought it into our Ford dealer and they told me, yes they definitely feel it, and yes it is annoying, but they all do that and there's no fix for it.

Wtf? There have been TSB's on this issue for the '22 and '23, with software and brake pad updates that people have said fixed the issue for them. Why is Ford not recognizing this on the '24s?

Have any 2024 owners gotten a fix from the dealership?

24s will already have updated software (and pads).... If there is no updated software available, it will be hard for the dealership to do anything.
They can report the issue to tech hotline for assistance though.

"A little" of it is how you brake. Go too gentle and it seems to grab. If you can engaged the hydraulic brakes right before you hit the 5mph or so when it happens, it won't do it.

Here are a few questions I didn’t ask:

- Who has a 2024 model without any braking issues?

- Did my truck come with all the necessary fixes to resolve the grabby brake issue?

- How can I change my driving habits to adapt to the issues my brand new truck is exhibiting?

I know how the system works. I design electric vehicles for an OEM. What I asked was who else has a ‘24 with this issue and have you found / gotten a fix?

Our '22 and '23 both have the grabby brakes near the end of braking. Eco mode seems to lessen it. But yea, you get use to letting up right before stop signs/lights and other times it gets ya. No remedy here and we just got all the recalls done.

Just bought a 24 xl hybird. Came from a nicer vehicle. The maverick brakes are common knowledge to be "grabby". It's the worst part of the car in my opinion. Buy hey it's one of the cheapest cars on the market so don't be surprised.

"23 XLT grabby brakes.
I brought it in to dealer who said "thats a hybrid". I presented a copy of the TSB and the dealer said it didn't apply to my vin#. Test drove it and experienced complaint.
Now how does a product under warranty, experiencing a fault acknowled by Ford, not get fixed by Ford under warranty?
Beats the hell out of me.

The TSB's for the earlier models were to deal with a software issue that is unlikely to be present on your truck. Occasionally, under certain low speed "creeping" conditions, the brakes would fail to engage under normal braking pressure. Naturally the driver would stab the brakes to avoid hitting someone or something when this happened, the software glitch would be overcome, then the brakes would bite hard. Very disconcerting when it happened. The TSB's should have been described as a remedy for "Brake Failure" not grabby brakes, but that doesn't sound as nice.

Cheers.
