Crap they did this with super dutys recently, left them in a field at a racetrack for months and mice ate the wiring, tires had flat spots, all kinds of weird stuff. If mine winds up like that Im gonna just hold off getting one most likely.
They have been parking explorers at Joliet speedway and at the garbage dump

It's just a hybrid issue, if you look at the orders being moved they are Lariat with Luxury Packages. I will talk about it tonight.
What is going on!!! Wahhhhhh!

If you put 2 and 2 together... Ford has publicly stated they will give priority to the most profitable vehicles, well the hybrid Maverick could potentially be the least profitable vehicle they make, they would literally be the last to get the computer modules if they could go on any other vehicle currently being manufactured. Thats my guess anyway, not sure you will ever get a straight answer from anyone.

I’m a hybrid Lariat on schedule for 2/5 delivery. No luxury package. My salesman told me 2/5 just a couple days ago. Knock on wood. Sold my Prius yesterday assuming delivery this weekend. FWIW My dealer offered me $8900 for the Prius.
I sold it for $15K.

It is now clear that all those dealers who asked people to switch to EB and all the dealers that told customers their Hybrid won't get built/delivered in 2022 have known things for a while. Likely these dealers have contacts at Ford that leaked info to them. People have been posting those stories here for months. So it seems to have turned out that Ford has likely known for quite a long time that there were huge production/delivery issues brewing and strung people along anyway. So glad I believed my dealer and the people who have posted about this stuff for a long time and moved on to the Ridgeline. Not upset with anyone except Ford itself who seems to have purposely created false hopes. If idiots like me heard MANY months ago from my local dealer that it would likely be "forever" before I got my hybrid, then Ford knew all along. So all of you who claimed dealers were lying to get people to switch to EB so they could get "sales" and mark up hybrids...do you still feel that way?

Yep. Same here. Estimated delivery just went to 5/22 from 2/22. Salesman told me last week it was at the rail yard in Mexico. The Module Build Data populated like a Christmas tree 2 weeks ago and the FordPass Connect “activate vehicle” button has shown up on the app.
I guess we’ll find out soon.
If there was a an issue……better they fix it now then ship a problem truck.

Common practice right now. They continue production and then move them to a holding lot until they gather enough parts to finish them. They might be waiting on something as simple as a rear seat, or a trim part etc…. Or they could be driving the finished ones to a lot, removing the ecu or another sensor or module they are having a hard time getting from a supplier and then using that to finish another truck and then take that one to a holding lot. So on and so on

This will speed things up once they receive the parts they need to finish the build
Rob peter to pay paul??

Unfortunately this is not unique to Ford, visit virtually any car/truck forum and you’ll see this played out time and time again. There are people who ordered $100k TRX trucks in May, 2021 who have not received them yet I lucked out, ordered mine in September and took delivery in December. Try to order a 911, the wait could be a year. Tough times all around...

Have they even produced 40,000?
Not a chance. August to today is 6 months, and even if each month was at 5000 units (it's not) and Ford didn't deliver a single Maverick (they have) the total produced would be 6 x 5000= 30,000 Mavericks.

Mine is an XLT Hybrid with lux package. The Estimated delivery date just changed from 2/21/22 to 5/21/22. It has been in production since 1/12. DO you have any news about those since you mentioned Lariat only?

I ordered the 1st week of October, Got confirmation of the order inside of a week. I was told by the dealer and from my experience from ordering a 2021 F-150 hybrid to expect it to take 6 to 8 months. So so far No surprises. I ordered my F-150 last year in February and took deliver the first week of august. it was built in March and set on a lot in Michigan waiting for chips and a backup camera until july when it finally shipped. After getting it well worth the wait.

just a WAG, but there was a couple guys on here complaining about hybrid batteries going dead and shutting trucks down. Maybe Ford identified an issue with charging circuit, wiring loom, faulty lot of voltage regulators, etc.?
