Personally, I like it! Thinking same for mine eventually.
Since it’s my truck, I can do what I want. Dad thought it looked pretty good. Even asked if I was gonna cut a hole in the hood, to make it functional!
Not going that far!

Personally I would not pick, add, change anything on my vehicle depending on what someone else thinks.

If you like something go for it. Someone else doesn't like it. Thats their problem.

Regarding the happy wife thing, if it's your vehicle, she can express an opinion but not veto.

My wife doesn't like my color selection. So what? it's not her truck.
I wanted her to get a manual transmission in her Subaru. But it's not my wagon.

As spouses, we should feel comfortable expressing an opinion, but when the item in question is primarily the domain of one party...they get final say!

Just another piece of plastic to catch wind, water & snow, I thought about getting one, but, realized its black, and my Mav is Shadow Black, you wouldn’t even notice it, except in the winter when your brushing off the 1 ft of snow.

The hood scoop is no different than any other car that has one factory. Most of them are cosmetic and im okay with that. Thats why i have one ordered for my Maverick.
